I love the Salve Regina/Hail Holy Queen and Saint Michael prayer after the Rosary as much as any good Catholic!
Did you know that there is a proper collect prayer that should follow after the prayer of the Salve Regina?!
In the Scriptural Rosary podcast, here is how they're invoked. After offering the Salve, at the end of the Glorious Mysteries, we pray:
Almighty, everlasting God, Who by the cooperation of the Holy Spirit, prepared the body and soul of the glorious Virgin-Mother Mary to become a worthy dwelling for Thy Son; grant that we who rejoice in her commemoration may, by her loving intercession, be delivered from present evils and from the everlasting death. Through the same Christ our Lord.
OR (In Easter time)
Regina caeli, laetare, alleluia | Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia
Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia | The Son you merited to bear, alleluia
Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia. | Has risen, as He said, alleluia.
Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia. | Pray to God for us, alleluia.
℣. Gaude et laetare, Virgo Maria, alleluia | Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
℟. Quia surrexit Dominus vere, alleluia | For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.
Orémus:
GOD, Who didst vouchsafe to give joy to the world through the Resurrection of Thy Son our Lord Jesus Christ; grant, we beseech Thee, that through His Mother, the Virgin Mary, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through Your only begotten Son, You have conquered death, and thrown open to us the gate of Everlasting Life; give effect by Your assistance to our desires, which You anticipate and inspire. Through the same Christ our Lord, Who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen!
