PACER on Elections - Extremism In Defense of Election Integrity Is No Vice
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
Allow me to introduce you to the nation’s newest ‘domestic violent extremist’. The Republican Secretary of State of Louisiana issued directives to preserve 2020 election materials and to take the state out of ERIC, a Soros-funded voter roll maintenance operation which critics deride as a thinly disguised get-out-the-vote effort for Democrats. This Secretary of State must now be considered a ‘domestic violent extremist’ under new guidelines from the Department of Homeland Security. A DHS whistleblower leaked an agency bulletin telling agents people who talk about ‘government overreach’ and ‘election fraud’ are possible ‘domestic violent extremists’ and a threat to law enforcement. You might call me a ‘domestic violent extremist’, too, because I’ve been talking about government overreach and election fraud since early Tea Party days, and I’m not going to stop, so come and get me.
There continue to be problems with our elections, and we in the grassroots are not going to stop on that front, either.
Mass mail-in voting causes chaos, as Jimmy Carter reported in 2005, but the practice will continue in some places in the 2022 elections. You mail out ballots to everyone on dirty voter rolls - including dead people and duplicate registrations - and you end up with millions of missing ballots some of which get stolen and voted by bad actors. Speaking of dirty voter rolls, a citizens group in Michigan found more than 22,000 active registrations for people who no longer live in the state and should be removed from the rolls.
Wisconsin lets anyone order an absentee ballot online, which is a recipe for fraud. A citizen tester got permission from several people to order ballots in their name and elections officials sent all the ballots to his address, no ID needed. It’s easy to see how this could be scaled up into major fraud.
Electronic voting machines failed a logic and accuracy test in a recent Colorado county recount. An elections official falsified machine certification records before an election in New Mexico. Certification problems have to be fairly common, because I know a grassroots activist who documented shady certification of electronic poll books in my state.
A poll challenger was thrown out of the big vote counting center in Detroit this month for asking too many questions and pointing out that various rules were not being followed. A similar problem occurred in the progressive prosecutor recall effort in Los Angeles this week. Elections officials threw out 27 percent of the ballot petition signatures, causing the petition to fail, whereas only 20 percent of signatures were deemed invalid in the Gavin Newsom recall last year. So something’s fishy, but election officials wouldn’t allow anyone to observe the process.
Voter fraud continues to be caught and prosecuted, although to a very limited extent relative to the amount of fraud that’s out there. South Carolina hasn’t had a voter fraud prosecution in 18 years, for example, but Wisconsin has 10 new cases for impersonating voters, voting twice in different states, and other fraudulent activities. A former police chief and a city councilman just pled guilty to buying votes in elections in Louisiana. Hmm... I wonder if the judge who took the plea is a domestic violent extremist like the Secretary of State.
Finally, Wisconsin State Assembly Speaker Robin Vos squeaked by in his primary, then immediately fired the special counsel he had previously hired to investigate fraud in the 2020 election, bringing the investigation to an end. The special counsel had found, among other indicia of fraud, up to 100 percent voter turnout in nursing homes, which would include people with dementia. It’s too bad the investigation won’t be continuing because the Democrats have a long history of committing voter fraud in nursing homes and you can bet they’ll keep right on doing it in future elections in Wisconsin and probably your state, as well.
The Speaker in Wisconsin is Republican. The GOP establishment across the nation, for some strange reason, is just not interested in uncovering election fraud. They must like losing. They will tell you their focus is on future elections, not past elections. This is what you typically get out of RINOs, even though there’s no way to fix the problems with future elections unless you understand what went wrong in the past. But Liz Cheney’s crushing defeat should show them they are an endangered species. My national RINO Hunt Team is on the case and we - and election integrity activists more generally - will not quit until we right the ship and restore free and fair elections in this country, whether the RINOs and the Democrats like it or not. DHS can’t lock us all up.

PACER on Elections - Election Integrity Professional Demolishes Guardian Hit Piece
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
Democrat-friendly media outlets are working overtime to discredit all efforts to achieve free and fair elections and to smear anyone involved in election integrity efforts. One of many such pathetic articles appeared in The Guardian, the left-wing British publication with a U.S. presence. The article drives the phony narrative that poll-watching and training for election integrity activists amounts to voter intimidation and is to be condemned.
The article specifically names Tim Meisburger, a member of my activist network devoted to achieving free and fair elections. Tim has spent 30 years observing overseas elections, culminating in his appointment as Director of the Center for Democracy Rights and Governance for the federal agency USAID. Tim is currently Director of the America Project’s election integrity program. The Guardian never asked him for his side of the story, so he wrote a letter to the editor demolishing the article, a letter which the Guardian has yet to publish. In the letter, Tim wrote:
This article is littered with “scare quotes”; a rhetorical device and cliché whose overuse reflects poorly on the professionalism of the author, and competence of his editor. Although this article is listed under “US news”, it is immediately clear that it is an opinion piece....

Early in the article Peter Stone ... plays the “Hitler” card, suggesting our leadership is pushing a “big lie”; a pejorative the left uses to refer to the opinion shared by many (according to recent polls, more than half of all Americans, including 30% of Democrats) that the 2020 election may have been affected by fraud....

As election and democracy professionals know, you cannot judge the legitimacy of an election by looking solely at what happens on election day, as many events can occur well before election day that affect the integrity of the election process....
.. [U]ndisputed examples of incidents or programs that might give one cause to doubt the democratic legitimacy of the election include:
- Coordinated suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story before the election
- Introduction of many new election procedures as a response to COVID 19 that universally weakened the security of the election process
- Widespread use of insecure mail-in ballots and drop boxes, paid for in many cases by donations from a partisan billionaire.
- The use of state officials and resources to turn out voters in predominately Democratic areas, again paid for by a partisan billionaire.
- Ballot mules geo-tracked and videoed collecting ballots from partisan organizations and then stuffing said ballots in drop boxes
- Observers being prevented (on video) from observing counting processes
- Poll workers (on video) sending observers home and stuffing ballot boxes in the middle of the night
- The suspiciously coordinated suspension of counting in battleground states, followed by markedly different results when counting is resumed

These and other incidents may not be enough to sway Peter, but they are certainly enough to create reasonable doubt for many people. For me, as an election professional, the prevention of effective observation alone is enough to declare that the integrity of the election cannot be verified; and if we were overseas monitoring an election in a developing country and saw that, we would condemn the process and call for new elections....

The letter goes on from there and includes the inconvenient fact Meisburger left USAID at the end of President Trump’s term, not under a “cloud” as the article baselessly claimed.

That’s the rebuttal. Let’s see if the Guardian prints it. Don’t hold your breath. Open and honest debate, any more than free and fair elections, is not how the Democrats roll.

PACER on Elections - Both Sides Raising the Stakes in Election Process
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
Georgia prosecutors are investigating all 16 Trump alternate electors in the 2020 election for alleged subversion of the Electoral College. Critics say the alternate electors were following the established constitutional process for challenging disputed elections.
Meanwhile, the Democrats are ramping up an effort to commandeer the election machinery by getting Democrats voted in as elections officials all across the country. This is a new $80 million effort and it’s patterned after George Soros’ multi-million effort to get left-wing Secretaries of State and out-of-control progressive prosecutors who won’t prosecute into office. The new effort is called ‘Clerk Work’ and it’s being spearheaded by the Run for Something PAC headed by a former Hillary Clinton campaign staffer. The $80 million is coming from a Hillary Clinton-affiliated (c)(4), Chan Zuckerberg, LinkedIn, ActBlue, and others. This follows another recently announced $80 million Democrat effort - the Alliance for Election Excellence - to schmooze local elections officials and give them ‘advice’. One of the participants - the Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life - teaches elections officials how to conspire with each other and the media. Which could explain the recent spate of stories about how elections officials feel, oh so threatened by those mean Republicans.
But Team Red is also raising the stakes in the election process. It was just announced a Constitutional Sheriffs association is teaming up with True the Vote to investigate election fraud claims in the 2020 presidential election and future elections. Obama’s IRS couldn’t kill True the Vote and the organization is fresh off a stunning success with its ‘2000 Mules’ documentary showing extensive ballot trafficking occurring at COVID-era drop boxes. Democrats LOVE those drop boxes and are trying to make them permanent, and now we know why.
The sheriffs’ initiative is raising money so law enforcement will have the resources to conduct surveillance of drop boxes, use artificial intelligence to analyze drop box video, and set up hotlines to report suspicious activity at drop boxes and polling places. The Democrats are freaking out at the prospect elections just might become more secure. You should read the hysterical Reuters article on the sheriff’s initiative. If you didn’t know any better, you would come away believing the sky is falling. Reuters is a hopelessly left-wing arm of the Democrat Party posing as honest brokers of the news. They are anything but.
Team Red is continuing to enjoy success in getting common-sense election reforms adopted at the state level. Missouri’s Governor recently signed a bill banning drop boxes and requiring voter ID which has been widely upheld in the courts. Even Stacey Abrams will tell you voter ID laws are not racist. The Democrats have lost the voter ID argument. It’s all over but the shouting and, boy, do they continue to shout. Missouri’s new law also stops indiscriminate mail-in voting and gets rid of electronic voting machines in 2024, requiring them to be ‘air-gapped’ from the Internet in the meantime. This is a great victory for election integrity.
In case you’re one of the few Americans remaining who still believe the 2020 elections were the ‘most secure’ ever, have I got news for you. The Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled the use of drop boxes in the 2020 election was illegal and candidates are calling for the state’s 2020 election results to be decertified as a result. In Arizona, newly released video shows ballot mules forging signatures on ballot envelopes. Federal authorities have confirmed two Iranian nationals hacked into a state computer election system in the 2020 election. There was illegal ballot harvesting in Arizona, Georgia, and Wisconsin, not to mention dirty voter rolls, nursing home fraud, and over a dozen more documented problems with the 2020 election. None of this can seriously be disputed.
No wonder people are up in arms and demanding election integrity. Citizen efforts to clean up the voter rolls are underway in Michigan, Maryland, and elsewhere. Recent articles from Democrat-controlled media are howling about election integrity efforts from professional paid groups on the Right, but they miss the mark. It’s the grassroots efforts that will eventually return us to free and fair elections. Smear us all you want, but we know we’re right, and we’re not going away. So, get over it. Your days of cheating are coming to an end.

PACER on Elections - Democrats Crank Up Propaganda Machine on Elections
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
You need to be aware the Democrats’ propaganda machine is cranked up to ‘hi’ on elections. They are mischaracterizing just about everything having to do with elections these days.
Let’s start with the claim Donald Trump tried to ‘overturn the election’ and is, therefore a ‘threat to democracy’. I say he pursued legal challenges under the constitutionally-prescribed process for contesting election results, nothing more. Isn’t that what you would do if you thought an election was stolen from you?
Under our system, which has been called “messy” and “deficient”, legal challenges are brought under Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution having to do with the appointment of electors to the Electoral College. It is possible for rival sets of electors to be sent to Washington if state governors and legislatures don’t agree on the slate. The procedures go on from there to provide for challenges in the U.S. House and Senate to exclude electors from the Electoral College vote count. There were dueling electors in the contested election of 1876 and, in a challenge brought by Democrats, in Hawaii in 1960. Nancy Pelosi’s daughter led a challenge to Trump electors in 2016. Nobody accused the Democrats of trying to ‘overturn the election’ in those instances, did they? But that’s the propaganda we’re getting from the Democrats now and it’s escalated to the point where the Biden Justice Department is investigating Republicans involved in efforts to send alternate electors to Congress in the 2020 election. Trump forces also went to court and won on the merits in 22 out of 39 lawsuits brought contesting various aspects of that election.
So what, exactly, did Trump do? He pursued possibilities for alternate electors - just like Democrats before him - and brought cases in court, many of which he won. That’s it. No martial law, no calling out the army, nothing beyond legal processes. Democrats are twisting his efforts to convince you his efforts are something they are not.
Next, we turn to the claim that 2020 ‘election deniers’ are spreading ‘misinformation’ and pose a threat to future elections. The propaganda on this is very thin, turning quickly to reform efforts to improve future election integrity. The ‘election denier’ smear is intended to discredit legitimate efforts to enact voter ID laws which are routinely upheld by courts, curb the use of insecure mail-in voting which Democrat Jimmy Carter recognized is a problem, and get rid of things like dropboxes which only came in because of COVID but the Democrats have succeeded in making permanent in many states. If working for free and fair elections in the future is ‘election denial’, I’ll eat my hat.
The latest mischaracterization came when the Supreme Court agreed to hear a case testing the power of state legislatures to make laws regarding elections. To hear Democrats tell it, the conservative Supreme Court is poised to give unchecked power to state legislatures to shut out state governors and courts, favor their own party, and undermine democracy. You have to remember that Democrat elections officials approved dropboxes and mail-in voting in 2020, invoking emergency powers in the pandemic to do so, without permission from state lawmakers. If anyone is a threat to democracy in this situation, it’s unelected bureaucrats who worked overtime to help the Democrats 2020, not the duly elected state lawmakers. Moreover, a new government report shows how elections officials can work inside the system to threaten fair elections. That being the case, I don’t mind more oversight and stricter procedures mandated by state lawmakers who are the duly elected representatives of the people. Especially when Article I, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution gives primary responsibility for elections to state legislatures. Moreover, it’s been reported that local and state elections officials are secretly meeting with Democrat funders and left-wing organizations to discuss future elections - no Republicans allowed. What’s that about? This is all from government documents and can’t be denied.
So, when the Democrat propaganda machine tries to convince you Republicans are working to unlawfully overturn the results of past elections and rig elections in the future, your first reaction should be ‘poppycock’, because that’s what it is.

PACER on Elections - A Break in the Clouds in Noncitizen Voting
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
The New York Supreme Court struck down the New York City law which gave noncitizens the right to vote in municipal elections. Only citizens can vote under the state’s constitution and statutory law, the court ruled.
There’s other good news on this subject, lately. Arizona passed a law requiring its Secretary of State to ask the federal Election Assistance Commission to include citizenship on the federal voter registration form for the state. The new law also requires county officials to check voter rolls against several databases to ensure residency and citizenship. Texas restarted its program to ask registered voters to confirm their citizenship last December. By January, 12,000 potential noncitizens on the rolls had been identified and 2,000 had been removed. A citizenship audit in Georgia led to the investigation of 1,600 noncitizens for unlawfully attempting to register to vote. A proposed constitutional amendment to ban noncitizen voting in Ohio passed the legislature and will be put to the voters on the November ballot.
Now for the bad news. Noncitizens voted in the San Francisco school board recall election in February. Two cities in Vermont approved noncitizen voting and the issue goes to the Burlington city council for the third time.
The Left just won’t quit on this. Some have speculated the reason is the Democrats are opening the borders in order to turn hordes of illegal aliens into faithful Democrat voters, thereby creating a permanent political majority for the Democrats.
I don’t need to speculate about motive. The facts are bad enough. Noncitizen voting dilutes the votes of citizens and normalizes illegal immigration. It also attacks the idea of U.S. citizenship, the argument being nobody should aspire to be a citizen of such a horrible rotten country. So there you have it. Open borders policies, removing the citizenship question from the census, and noncitizen voting make sense only if you hate America and you’re trying to destroy it. You may want to accommodate noncitizens and bend over backwards to make them feel good, but you can’t tell me why noncitizen voting is good for us citizens. That’s your burden, to convince me noncitizen voting is good for us. That’s the issue as I see it. Otherwise, I’m not interested.
The value of American citizenship - it’s like that old Joni Mitchell song, “you don't know what you've got Till it's gone.” Thank your lucky stars you’re an American citizen or can follow a legal process to become one. American citizenship makes life better in so many ways. Stop taking it for granted. You might think about that when you’re enjoying your 4th of July weekend.

PACER on Elections - Voting Machines Continue to Destroy Confidence in Our Elections
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
Recent stories about electronic voting machines don’t exactly inspire confidence.
We start in Georgia where a handcount in a county Democratic primary showed the machines were off by thousands of votes. The third-place candidate noticed the machines showed zero votes for her in most precincts. The hand recount showed this candidate, supposedly in third place, had actually received the most votes. The Secretary of State’s office admitted making programming mistakes that affected the machine results. How do you mess up so badly your machines can’t even count and are off by thousands of votes? And why should we have to rely on candidates - maybe if they’re lucky - finding mistakes in order to get accurate results in our elections? You might recall voting machines showed Biden with a 3,000 vote lead in Antrim County, Michigan in the 2020 election, but a hand recount showed Trump had actually carried the county by 3,700 votes, a machine-induced discrepancy of nearly 7,000 votes. There are also reports that machines in Georgia this year awarded votes to a candidate who was not even on the ballot in one race and showed zero votes for a candidate who actually got nearly half the votes in another race. Like I said, electronic voting machines do not exactly inspire confidence.
A county commission in New Mexico had so little confidence in their machines they just voted to get rid of them before the next election. An audit in New Mexico had found that Dominion Voting machines could fill in ballots all by themselves. The same thing was found in New York. A Dominion executive was caught on video in 2020 explaining to elections officials how to alter votes with Dominion machines and, further, that the machines cannot tell fake ballots from real ballots. Don’t forget: the first court-ordered forensic examination of a Dominion Voting machine in Antrim County, Michigan showed the machine deliberately created a 68 percent error rate right off the bat election officials could then fill in any way they want. Feeling confident yet?
You shouldn’t. A federal cybersecurity agency found nine vulnerabilities with Dominion voting machines allowing hackers to enter and install malicious code. While the agency said it had no evidence this has actually occurred in any election, it did find that, once the code was inserted in one machine, it could spread to all the machines in a jurisdiction.
There are federal standards electronic voting machines are supposed to meet but, according to one analysis, not a single voting system testing lab was accredited for the 2020 election and only two are accredited today. The logical conclusion is most places have no idea whether their machines meet federal standards or not.
Then these manufacturers have the nerve to claim their machines are proprietary and can’t be opened up for inspection. Elections are the public’s business, but it takes a court order to get inside these machines. The black box lack of transparency alone is reason enough not to trust these machines, especially when it’s not disputed the same technology has been used to steal elections in Venezuela.
In French presidential elections, voters cast paper ballots that are counted by hand. There’s no possibility machines will all magically stop counting in key places in the middle of the night with the results the next morning the opposite of what they had been the night before. It’s hard to argue with counting paper ballots by hand instead of machine. It’s looking like that’s what it will take to restore confidence in our elections in this country.

PACER on Elections - Election Fraud: Turn Over the Rocks and Watch the Bugs Scurry Underneath
http://www.liberato.us/commentary.html
A flood of new stories shows we have widespread problems with our elections. Let’s start with the individual cases:
A former Congressman pled guilty to stuffing ballot boxes for the Democrats in Pennsylvania elections from 2014 to 2018. A Republican councilwoman in New York pled guilty to submitting multiple absentee ballots in her reelection bid last year. A Democrat County Supervisor was indicted on 82 counts of false statements, procedural violations, forgery, and more in connection with an absentee ballot scheme in Virginia. Three women pled guilty to illegal ballot harvesting for the Democrats in Arizona in the 2020 primary election.
A city councilman in L.A. County and five others were charged with election fraud after arranging for nonresidents to vote in the city council election last year. A judge threw out the election results and declared the councilman’s opponent the winner in the race by three votes. So, yes, detecting election fraud can change the outcome of elections, despite what the Democrats claim.
These individual cases are just the tip of the iceberg of what’s wrong with our elections.
A legal foundation found more than 8,000 people are registered twice or more on New Jersey’s voter rolls. One voter appears on the rolls six times!
The citizens group amassing the evidence for the documentary ‘2000 Mules’ told Arizona’s lawmakers mules inserted ballots into drop boxes in the state an average of 21 times during the 2020 election. How is such ballot trafficking possible? The group noted the problem starts with bloated voter rolls, which make fraud possible when ballots are mass-mailed to everyone on the rolls, including dead voters, people who have left the state, students who vote elsewhere, ballots sent to vacant lots, etc. That leaves a lot of ballots floating around out there that can be collected in apartment buildings and elsewhere, then cast illegally. See the problem?
A whistleblower told the filmmakers things are so bad in one Arizona town that voters are coerced into showing their ballots to controllers who demand they vote a certain way. People who want to run against the local machine are told they will be shot.
Another citizens group obtained official records showing 20,000 mail ballots were received after the legal deadline in Maricopa County, Arizona, enough to change the 2020 election results.
A citizen investigation based on government records found 36 percent of voter registrations in East Lansing, Michigan are inaccurate and 21 percent of ineligible voters cast ballots. Fifty ballots still get sent to a street that no longer exists. More than 1,700 votes were cast from dorms that were closed due to the pandemic at Michigan State University. Makes you wonder about other college towns, doesn’t it?
Another citizen investigation in Michigan led a Detroit official to admit ballots were received in the middle of the night in the 2020 election. He only admitted to 16,000 ballots arriving, but Michigan added 149,000 votes - 94 percent for Biden - the next morning. Nobody has explained where those votes came from. There is no good explanation.
Voters in Wisconsin are suing five cities in the state over the unlawful use of unmanned drop boxes in elections. The drop boxes, it is believed, are part of a thinly disguised, privately funded get-out-the-vote effort for Democrats run by government officials.
A citizens group in Georgia found 72 counties illegally destroyed drop box video surveillance tapes involving more than 180,000 ballots for the 2020 election. The group also found 56 counties illegally destroyed their electronic voting machine ballot images for the 2020 election in violation of state and federal requirements such records be preserved for at least 22 months.
Finally, a sheriff in Michigan is suing the Secretary of State, the state Attorney General, and the state police for interfering with his investigation into election fraud in the 2020 election. The sheriff alleges state officials confiscated documents, harassed his deputies, intimidated witnesses, and whisked away voting machines so they could not be examined. This should get interesting, because the sheriff has constitutional law enforcement powers independent of state officials.
Citizens and advocacy groups on the political Right are being criticized for taking an interest in election integrity. We’re being told we’re imagining things and being too aggressive. Our critics say the most ridiculous things like ‘there is no voter fraud’ and educating law enforcement on how to identify election fraud is somehow beyond the pale.
If we’re successful, we will return to free and fair elections in this country. If you’ve got a problem with that, I’ve got a problem with you.
