Street lighting ensures safety to literally every citizen in our nation by providing guidance and direction across the vast territories throughout the country. Citizens have grown accustomed to driving the streets, rural roads and busy urban thoroughfares, relying on improved visibility and safety afforded them by generous lighting conditions provided by several street light standards of the roadways. Similarly, the safety and ability to maneuver along walkways and sidewalks, in both congested and remote areas, is tremendously enhanced for pedestrians and cyclists. Street lights must be designed therefore to minimize glare and render enhanced
colour recognition to meet people‘s visual needs in observing objects. The benefits of installing Streetlights are myriad. A streetlight is a must.

Whether drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, everyone deserves to be safe and feel a sense of security. In behalf of our fellow residents here and in Isabela as a whole, we, the member of “Ilaw na nagbibigay Tanglaw” is hereby petitioning for the installation of one or more streetlights at every barangay in our community, particularly in isolated places or places that are a long way away from large towns and is difficult to reach, to ensure our safety and to improve our overall quality of life. We are respectfully and formally requesting our Community leaders’ attention and immediate action to protect and to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone, especially those who are living in our community.

What can we do? Who can help?

Officials from the government and our community leaders have the authority and power to install street lights around the community. However, we all have a role to play. We, as students and responsible citizens of our country, have limited resources, and the best we can do, especially in this time of pandemic, is to make strategic use of our social media accounts. We may develop websites, petitions, and social media posts to raise awareness and reach a bigger audience so that the complaints of our fellow residents are heard. As the most advanced and current generation, we will be the voice for others. This is a little gesture, but we truly believe that doing things wholeheartedly and with sincere intentions, no matter how small, can make a difference.

Hi! We'd like to welcome you to our page!👋

We are an advocacy-oriented group and we genuinely want to help our fellow Isabelinos. We will use this page to raise awareness and reach a larger audience so that our fellow’s concerns, particularly over the installation of streetlights in their communities, may be heard. We want to provide a safer place for everyone through installing streetlights in both congested and remote areas here in Isabela. And we envision the day where no one needs to be anxious and scared when driving and walking at night. However, we can’t do it alone. We need your voice. We need your help. We need you!
