Do you ever tell yourself no to certain substances because of the possibility of feeling out of control or panicky ?

This is something I struggle with daily, some examples could be taking headache medication like Tylenol and worrying if it’s gonna interact with your body in some other.

Remind yourself you are in control of your body, allow those intrusive thoughts to pass.

5 essentials I use to ease out of panic attacks!!

•Breathe! It is so important to keep steady breathing to slow down your heart rate when in an active panic attack.

•Distract your mind from the feeling you are experiencing. You know your routine best, ask yourself what are some things I would enjoy doing and that would distract me when I panic.

•Give it time and allow these feelings and thoughts to pass!
This is another crucial step to recouping from a panic attack.

•Talking to someone that you trust will distract your mind from those feelings and thoughts.

•Remind yourself that this state of mind isn’t forever, your body is reacting to stress or trauma.
Tell yourself positive affirmations.

•You are not your thoughts.
•Allow those thoughts to pass through.
•Sit with the discomfort until it passes.
•Trying to resist or avoid those thoughts only encourages them to stick around longer.
