In the last few days of our challenge at , I strike a tree pose in front of the studio in my yoga leggings.

The last few months have been so fun flowing in Hot and Restore during the week. As I transition to teaching the weekends, I reflect on my purpose of this month to continue providing a fun and comfortable space to challenge and heal our bodies.
The previous month of May, reminded us to approach our practice with patience whether our practice is advanced or just beginning, there’s always something to learn, even as a teacher.
And overcast, cloudy, and cold April taught us to examine our perspective toward our practice and everyday life.
May we take these intentions with us as we welcome in the summer shifts and I look forward to seeing you all in the studio!

There’s always a number of layers in the ways we choose to
meet ourselves where we are
in any particular point in time, especially in the scary, difficult times.

Our vision gets clouded.
We can only focus on one thing at a time, sometimes not very well at that .

Too often
the experience of who we are and what that entails weighs on us.
Life continues to move on,
forward,
despite our experience
in this particular point in time,
and after.

We forget
how many times we’ve shown up for ourselves
in the past,
through the generations,
chapters,
lifetimes . . .

Tell yourself: Thank you for showing up
and for
continuing to learn
how to catch yourself again next time.

I finally created a logo for myself this weekend!

Loss of someone special in our lives can can be especially traumatic. Grief is a natural aspect of our existence on Earth, so by giving oneself the space and permission to feel and lean in to the experience can feel daunting. It’s important to experience grief as it comes, but also to remember that the pain of grief will pass. It will become manageable. There will be hard days ahead, but there will continue to be good days. Uplifting days. Days with loved ones. Days with joy and gratitude. Continue to experience life. Re-orient and re-balance.
