Good morning my lovelies, happy Wednesday 🌻

Guess what?

I made it to week 2 of our 6 week business sprint!

*everyone cheers woooo*

You might not think this is important or even much of an achievement …

but for someone who struggles BADLY with consistency, this is like climbing Mount Everest!

(Ok maybe Mount Everest will be week 6 ..lets call week 1 Mount Gravatt *IYKYK lmao*)

I’ve already grown so much in not just my business with lots of new leads coming through, but also health wise with hitting my exercise and water intake goals.

And also my personal development goals - I’ve smashed out one book already (albeit a short one :p) and have started my 2nd, PLUS listened to over 4 hours worth of podcasts.

This is just in 7 days, imagine how I will feel at the end of this.

Im v proud of myself, but I can’t put the brakes on now, we gotta ramp this s**t up those are rookie numbers leshgooo lol

I was asked to share a place that makes me happy and to explain why.

This is my home town:
📍Rātana Pā, Wanganui, New Zealand (but the beach is down the road 😋).

Unfortunately I don’t get the chance to visit home too often.

Sadly the main reason we return is to attend a funeral.

However, there is such a sense of calm and peace that comes over me whenever I go back.

Culturally, I believe it is due to my connection to the land and it’s the Wairua (meaning ‘Spirit’ in Te Reo Māori) of my ancestors that I can feel.

Besides the fact it's such a green, fresh and beautiful place.

Alsoooo *a big bonus* - no bugs or snakes! (or things that will try eat you like here in Aus 😝)

It's always so nice to catch up with family, reminisce and revisit places where we would play as kids.

I can’t wait to take our future children there and teach them about our culture (as I learn alongside them).

Where is a place you feel most at home?
Yes, I will accept "at home on the couch in my jammies" 🤣

What I think about people’s biggest objections 🤔

Are you OVER having to ask someone else if you can go away for the weekend but then being denied because Janet from Accounts got her request in first? 🙄

Sick of arriving to camp Friday night and setting up in the dark, just to have to pack up early Sunday because you have to get back to work?
Or just missing out on the road trip with the crew all together?

How irritating is it trying to plan a catch up with the girls but your schedules never line up because of you-know-what?

That is the kind of BS I was not willing to tolerate anymore 🙅‍♀️

Everyday there are hundreds of people on socials out there travelling, exploring and living my dream life.

I don't believe we're supposed to spend our lives stuck inside 4 walls, day in and day out, to make a measly salary just getting us by, while also missing out on valuable time with our loved ones.

THAT is why I got started in the online space 💥

But now you’re thinking:

🤳🏻 “Oh but I don’t have a large social media following”
🥱 “I can’t put myself out there, what will people think, what would I even talk about my life is boring”
📈 “I don’t even have a product to sell, let alone any experience in marketing or sales”

Or the big one:
🚩 “Oh it’s just another one of those get-rich-quick schemes where nobody actually makes money and you have to try and push products to your friends and family”

Don’t worry, I had these exact same thoughts.

The only difference though is that I decided to take back control of my life and just take a look at the information, that way I could make an informed decision for my future.

So fret not, I have the solution for you.

The only things you need to succeed are:
✅ a willingness to learn/coachable attitude
✅ dedication and commitment
✅ an open mind
✅ a real desire for a change in your life

Literally everything else is provided for you and you’ll never be alone for the journey.

TOP 5 BUCKET LIST ITEMS / LIFE GOALS 🎯

1) Retire myself, my husband and my Dad from work.
2) Open my own animal rescue/sanctuary. Help with animal welfare all over the world.
3) Build an off-grid tiny home with a farm of horses, chickens, cows. Grow our own food and live as far away from a big city as possible (but preferably near the ocean lmao idk how possible that is but we’ll figure it out)
4) Have a white Christmas and see the northern lights in Iceland
4) Own a Lamborghini Urus and be the coolest mum at rugby training 🤪

Happy Saturday chickens 🌻

You might’ve seen this little menace around before, but I don’t think I’ve ever introduced him!

This here is my little bestie Milo 🐾

We got him in 2019 when he was 8 months old, from a couple in NSW who had to re-home him.

His fave things in the world are his evening trips to the park, chicken and his Koko (my dad).

He destroys toys in minutes, does NOT like other dogs 🤦‍♀️🙄 but is the biggest sooky la la in the world.

He really is our little child, behaves just like a toddler, in fact one of his fav toys is an interactive baby walker 🤣

I love this quote because one of the biggest reasons why I started my own business was for the fact that I could finally just be myself and speak my truth.

I can finally feel safe in speaking up for what I believe in, even when it isn’t the “popular opinion”.

In previous jobs, I’ve had to have another personality.

I had to be a people pleaser, a “Yes” man, a door mat for angry clients.

My mental health was not a priority to the workplace I was in, as long as the customers were happy, that’s all that mattered.

Now I can freely express myself and share information to help others, without fear of backlash, because it’s my business and I answer to me and me only.

Please know you are in a safe space here with no judgement.

5 Facts About Me (that you proooobably don’t know 😜)

1 - I am the youngest of 3 children and the age gap between my eldest sibling and I is 8 years!
(So I basically grew up as an only child, but all 3 of us are super close now as adults and for that, I am very grateful)

2 - I attended 10 primary & secondary schools in my life (in VIC, QLD & New Zealand!) and never went on to study in higher education/Uni/TAFE.

3 - My first job was a ‘checkout chick’ at Woolies, which I started in 2011 and have since had over 10 different jobs ranging from customer service/retail, call centre, tech support, admin/reception to news paper runs and surveying.

4 - My all time favourite movies are Titanic and Romeo + Juliet.
In fact, there is a video of me on my 3rd birthday singing “My Heart Will Go On” 😭

5- I mostly listen to hip hop / RnB music (although I love all genres).
My favourite rapper is Eminem and I’ve seen him live 3 times!

Day 1 of the 6 week biz sprint 🏃‍♀️😮‍💨

Happy hump day! 🐪

Today is an exciting (and kind of scary) day because…

My mentors have teamed up with 4 other leaders in our space and together they created a 6-week sprint.

If you don’t know what a ’sprint’ is, basically it is a set of daily tasks over a set period of time, that will help promote confidence in myself, instil good habits and lay the foundations for a successful biz.

It’s not only going to help me grow as a business owner but also as a wife, daughter, sister and friend (and one day - mother!)

I’m all sorts of nervous, excited and scared as there are some tasks throughout this next 6 weeks that are going to seriously test me and push my waaay out of my comfort zone!
However, I do understand that we need to get uncomfortable in order to change.
The best things in life are often found on the other side of fear.

I would like to ask you all to help keep me accountable on this journey and I'm pumped to see where this takes me.
