The Inter-Reformers Band

Each time Obey traveled abroad to perform, he would not travel with his musical Instruments, he would buy new Instruments there, use the instruments to perform then go back to Nigeria with the new instruments. That was exactly what he did that year. He bought the instruments and stored it in one of the rooms where the band members including Obey himself were staying. On this fateful day, one of his band member called Gabriel Adedeji now late, went to look for something in the room where the instruments were stored, when he got there, he found out that the light bulb in the room has burnt out, he then decided to light a candle to be able to search the room. Unfortunately, he abandoned the candle in the room when he left. The candle later slipped over and sets the house on fire.

It was a lucky escape for Obey and his boys, because they were all sleeping upstairs. It could have been worse if not because of "Oyinbo onile k'eji" screaming Fire Fire Fire. Sadly before the arrival of the fire men, the blaze has ripped through the room within minutes destroying the new instruments stored in the room. However, Obey and his boys were able to get out of the house unharmed.

Obey was fond of mentioning his band members name in many of his songs, he'll mention his own name first followed by captain Samson Ogunlade's name, however in this particular song he mentioned Mutiu kekere first because of bravery Mutiu displayed in fighting the fire before the arrival of the firemen.

Mutiu kekere died year 2020.

This the original Michelin Man from 1894. The Michelin Man is white because rubber tires are naturally white. It wasn't until 1912 that carbon chemicals were mixed into the white tires to turn them black. The change was structural, not aesthetic. By adding carbon, tires became more durable.
Michelin also began reviewing restaurants so that more people would travel further distances in their cars to eat at these restaurants. This, in turn, would wear down their tires faster, and force them to buy more.
The star system that Michelin uses goes up to three and is broken down by whether or not it's worth driving to the restaurant. Even today, a Michelin star is a badge of honor, regardless of how many Michelin stars a restaurant receives.

3 star: "Exceptional cuisine, worth a special journey...

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗟𝗲𝗸𝗸𝗶 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝟭𝟵𝟭𝟬
Ileke (now called Lekki) was a village on the eastern end of the Lekki Peninsula below refuge island, which was itself named after this village. It was known as Ebute Ileke by the local Yoruba people there.

The natives were originally from Ile Ife and settled down at Ijebu Ode. From Ode they migrated down to Ilara and from Ilara to Epe. Thence, they finally settled at Ileke called Lekki today led by one Lootu son of Labolo, grandson of Oba Alara. Maternally, Lootu was the grandson of Oba Nenuwa/Lenuwa of Ode Omi. Lootu was a great salt panner who engaged in the extraction of edible salt from Brine (Seawater).

Refuge Island in Lagos, known in Yoruba as IDE was a gift given to him (Lootu) by his grandad when he learnt that his daughter had given birth to a male son.

When he grew old and died he was buried in Epe. His eldest daughter Ope had an issue with a man from Imakun Omi by name, one Adejebe. The son of this union Ogundosunmu became the first recognized ruler.

Some other towns and villages on the Lekki peninsula were founded by other personages. Akodo Lekki and Iwerekun right on the beach head coastline were founded by Oyemade Ogidigan father of Oniwonlu.
Eputu Lekki on the other hand was founded by Ogunfayo. Magbon Ilado and Eputu were founded by Onafula and Ogundeko from Orugbo, while Orimedu was founded by an Ife hunter by name: Ladejobi who first settled at Okegun Lekki before the crossing the Lagoon. Magbon Oga was founded by two brothers; Oga and Semade. Ibeju on the other hand was founded by Agbeduwa Abeju who settled at Ipebi and Ibomido (where I settled)

The majority of the people here are ancestrally Ijebu Yoruba, and from what we know- The history of Lekki and Epe are very closely linked/Interwoven.

Isaac R. Johnson was born sometime in 1812 in New York. While he was not the first to invent the bicycle frame, he was the first black man to invent and patent one, particularly one that could be folded or disassembled for easy storage.

In fact, Isaac Johnson's version of the bicycle frame is similar to the version we ride today, as modern bicycles have the same pattern, but they do not fold up. Johnson's version was a folding frame that could be stored in small spaces; it was frequently used while traveling and on vacation.

The patent was originally filed for by Isaac R. Johnson in April of 1899, and it was assigned the publication number: US634823 A. The only information we have about Isaac R.
Johnson comes from the information he filled out when he filed his patent.

We know he lived in Manhattan, New York, based on this documentation. According to the paperwork, this bicycle frame is an improved version of any previous bicycle frame due to its ability to be disassembled and stored in a truck or other small storage area.
