Remember all: The next 12 questions will be released on the 12th April at 12pm GMT. It doesn't matter if you have reached that level by then, you can still play...Although the race to the $50,000 prize is very much on.

What is the 12 Rings?

The 12 Rings is an online puzzle game that gets increasingly hard over time. There is a first prize of $50,000 and 12 unique rings that will be won by the first 12 people to get through the 12 stages of 12 questions (144 in total). Questions are released in blocks of 12 on the 12th of each month, question 25 onwards is coming on the 12th April. The final remaining questions will be released on the 25th December 2020. We are a tiny startup who loves puzzle games and we’re not linked to any large corporation or institution. We have no hidden agenda.

How much does it cost to play?

The first 12 questions are free, then there’s a one-off $4.99 charge to continue to play for the $50,000. You don’t need to pay anything more, unless you want to skip a question. Skipping a question costs money, but you don’t have to skip if you don’t want to. The only reason we’re charging anything is to fund the prize and cover the costs of running the game.

How can I get help with answers?

The first place to check is the Facebook Group (facebook.com/the12rings) where other players may even help with hints. IMPORTANT: Before asking a question (or posting something), read what other people have already written as your answer is likely to be there already.

Are there 14 rings in the logo?

This is a really common comment and/question. It’s understandable that people may count the circles in the logo and think, “ah-ha! We’ve found a ‘mistake’ or the ‘answer’”, but sadly not. Not every circle is a ring. There are only 12 rings. From a 2 dimensional perspective, you may be referring to what's known as an Annulus. That's a "ring shape" in maths. However, the puzzle relates to 12 physical rings. Whether they are presented on a plinth that is an Annulus or not, isn't in any way linked to a calculation of 14.

At The 12 Rings we encourage players to ask questions and also help and assist each other on this page. We obviously can’t tell you the answers (that’s no fun for you) nor would we promote the answers being published anywhere but clues and hints are most welcome to be shared. Thanks all for your participation and good luck with the journey!
