2024 Indianapolis Home Show has come and gone. This years centerpiece home was built by @davis__homes and is a masterclass in using neutrals to bring in a sense of warmth and peace when decorating.
I’ll show in a different video some of the other vendors that were there, different angles of the home and accent pieces I saw inside the home that I absolutely loved.
And yes, Davis is a local builder.

I had no intention of posting this until I have the video ready to address the designers as well but it was put on my heart to do it now.
You're not a designer boo and that's ok. I'm a decorator and I own that. There was a time in my life where that's what I aspired to be but plans change.
I was very VERY lucky to be mentored by actual designers and during that time I was able to get clear about what I wanted my professional life to look like going forward. I'm forever grateful for that time.
Now Designers.........during that time I also got to witness how some of ya'll run in cliques, bully and gatekeep real bad! That's not going unaddressed. In the meantime, decorators know who you are and what you do. Having @hgtv on a continuous loop at home does not prepare you for what this world is actually like.
Interior Designer:

Interior Decorator:
Interior decorators enhance the inside of buildings or specific rooms in a building to meet the needs of the inhabitants. They choose colors, paints, furniture, floor, window coverings, and lighting.

Saturday mornings for me are used for me time.
I grab some Starbucks and usually head to a yard sale but since the weather is changing I'll have to switch it up and head to the flea market.
Now if you love to thrift, do you boo but as for me I prefer the flea market and me and my favorite vendor got a good thing going on.
At the point where the video cuts off, I was saying that if you like what I like and haven't tried flea markets.....go today!!! You can create a truly unique space with decor you know no one else has.

It's been a minute but I'm back and ready to work.
A few things about this video:
1. Don't get used to seeing me like this lol
2. Ignore that little bit of dryness on my hands, I had just washed them and didn't have immediate access to lotion.
3. I don't do too much editing if any. It's not about perfection or aesthetics on this page ESPECIALLY if I gotta be the one to do it.
