Taoiseach Michael Martin pledges 30,000 Hurleys to Ukraine to bolster Ukrainian offensive.
Speaking from Kiev' Ukraine earlier today, The Taoiseach Mr Martin announced the mass mobilisation of Hurleys in Ireland and for all clubs to surrender their hurleys to the Dail by mid day Sunday as he in a slurred speech told the Ukrainian president that the only way to stop an old mutt from barking is to beat him back into his kennel with a hurley.
Mr Michael Martin has promised Ukraine a minimum of 30,000 hurleys by next Monday to show Irish support to Ukraine and to help with "Ammunition".
The picture below shows Martin demonstrating the perfect way to beat an invading mutt back into his own land by a few clouts of the hurley.
Martin told Ukrainian soldiers in a Braveheart like speech that if you can hit the invader a perfect blow with the hurley,he will be guaranteed to not be coming back for the second clout.
The Ukrainian president said he was grateful for this donation of heavy firepower and thanked him for his rousing speech to the soldiers and demonstration in terms of how to use the hurley in front line combat.
