PRINCIPLES OF DIVINE SUPPLY BY BRO. GBILE AKANNI*

What is God's approved method for raising support for His work?
This is to teach you to depend on God for your daily needs.

How do I step into God's call hoping that my needs will be met without having to go into launching, begging, and struggling with what God has called me to do?

Matt.10:5-14, 1 Cor. 9:7-18

What is God's standard pattern for supporting His work?
Every man that God has called is entitled to provisions that are necessary and sufficient to meet the needs of his life. God makes adequate provision for this.
God cannot call you without already making adequate provision. Every man walking in God's will for his life does not need to add an extra duty of looking for food.

There is more than enough in the divine store to meet every need of our lives. However, there are principles that guide the supply and the tapping into this divine provision.

*1* The matter of looking for what to eat is not part of the divine commission for God's servants. The matter of your needs or the future is not part of your responsibility if you are actually serving God properly. Your ministry will not progress as it should if you don't understand this from the onset.

This does not only apply to full-time servants of God but to every child who is born again and walks in absolute obedience to the will of God for their lives. The word of God is the standard of God for every one of His children no matter where you work. God wants us to look up to and trust Him. Every laborer is entitled to his meat. Matt. 10:10

*2* As laborers, we are not supposed to eat from every hand as to God, not every man is worthy of participation in His work. Matt.10:11 God will never lack a correct hand with which He will provide for His children.
You cannot go on a divine errand then lack means. When you go into borrowing to carry out God's plan, you have missed it. Every work that the divine provision has not arrived, is not yet in line.

God's work is entirely at His expense because He can never be indebted to any man who talks less of a man who is not worthy of putting his hand in His work. God accepts offerings according to ability and faithfulness.
God considers the heart of a person presenting an offering before the person.
When you receive gifts and offerings from unworthy persons, they block divine supply in your life.

The man-giving must be a worthy vessel so it's your responsibility as a servant of God to find out. This means you should ask God first because He knows all men.

*3* When God meets the need of His servants, He doesn't necessarily meet the need of their appetite. This is to teach you contentment. God's workers are content with whatever He gives them today. Every day, God will be there to meet the day's needs.

*4* God wants His workers to depend on Him. At your next point of call, there will be another worthy vessel. You can never suffer if you live like this.

*5* You are not to go about begging. At the climax of need, it shall be seen.
Worthy people don't necessarily give out of abundance and this is why it is a crime for you to be extravagant or develop an uncontrollable appetite because God is raising men to support you. When you collect money in anticipation, you have closed divine provision. Jer.17:5-8

God is very concerned about where your heart goes when you are in need. God is committed to the welfare of His servants.

Our needs are to help us trust God more. God sometimes causes us to hunger so that we will know that man must not live by bread alone but by every word that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
