It's a snow day today here in upstate NY. We currently have about 14 inches of snow on the ground and it's about 27 degrees outside. Sorry I haven't been posting been having fun driving the jeep around and am also just getting over covid again. Hopefully will be able to post more stuff soon got some good things in the works. The place that I usually work on my Jeep in the winter is closed right now so don't have anywhere warm to work. Stay warm out there folks.

Hey all sorry I haven't been posting I have been having fun driving Misfit around definently loving the 5 speed and with the 4 banger and 4:10 gears she gets out of her own way I have some things in the works little mods I am doing some QOL stuff. But posts might be a bit scarce since the holidays are coming up so if you don't hear from me have a happy holiday and it looks like 2022 is gonna be great year

Hey all i have been busy the Jeep passed inspection this week, this picture was taken before that, so been driving this thing around enjoying it right now it's having a PS issue at low RPM'S but I think it's a bad pump gonna try a flush and see if that fixes it. But anyway more things are coming working on some cool DIY mods I can't wait to show yall. More to come y'all plenty more.

Hey all I would like to introduce you to Misfit. She is a bit camera shy so this is the only good pic I could get tonight. I have spent the last year and 5 months rebuilding this thing and as you can see it had been a complete transformation. This weekend I'm gona hopefully get some good daylight pictures to show you more. She is a bit beat up being a 21 year old jeep but she runs like a champ got the last piece of the puzzle solved tonight now it's just drive it to clear monitors for state inspection. I gotta say for everyone on the forums that says 2.5's are slow are partially true cause she can hit 70 no problem all day can definitely get out of her own way.

Hey everyone today is a big day Misfit is out of the garage running and driving I still have a couple things to chase and a steering box to swap but hopefully I'm gonna try and get it inspected this coming Tuesday as long as I can get my hands on a box. Stay tuned for more content coming your way . The first picture is how Misfit sits now and the second is what he looked like when I got him last June. Huge changes gonna do a video update tomorrow probably.

Hey all got the tank back in today and installed an aftermarket fuel door from Hooke off-road, this is not sponsored, worked pretty good. Next is tires back on and rear fender flares. Once tires are on it will be off the Jack stands. Next is finishing the floor and gotta fix a power steering leak. Stay tuned it's about 95% done. long post sorry.

If I'm not fixing my Jeep I always seem to be doing my day job fixing computers. Sometimes it sucks knowing all this IT knowledge you always get family and friends asking for assistance and I'm too nice to turn them down. What are y'all up to??

Hey everyone as most of you people see in this picture you might have an idea of what I have started doing on Misfit today, do we like the new name yes or no?, I'm hoping to maybe get the rest done this week and do a little progress video. But this is a big milestone the Jeep is 95 percent of the way there to being able to get it road legal. Stay tuned it's gonna get crazy up in here soon I'm gonna start throwing a lot at you

Hey all you misfits so the drivers side of the Jeep is done ready for paint the floor is done on that side and painted gonna be putting bedrug in so it doesn't need to look pristine. I am hard at work on the passenger side almost got the biggest spot patched and then some grinding and Bondo to smooth it all out and we will be even closer to getting this thing on the road. Hey everyone I know this is a picture that you have seen a thousand times by now. But there is going to be some very exciting news coming soon about the Jeep. I also have been thinking of a new name and I'm thinking of Misfit since it's not so Rusty anymore. A little bit of a tease it is going to be back in this spot very soon completely different. Stay tuned we are in the final stretch of the rebuild there is plenty more things that are going to be happening with this old girl.

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in a while been busy working on the Jeep and just life. So we go the last big patch welded in or the rear passenger floor we are also working on getting the new torque box sections welded in on that side still have more work to go but it it's getting closer every day. The other 2 pictures are just the non painted rocker panels its just primed and I got the back part by the tailgate all ready for paint. I'll keep ya posted pretty soon we will be painting the floor have a bit to go before that but soon

Hey all I am back from vacation and ready to tackle the Jeep let's get this thing on the road!! Today I got the hood back on still have some adjusting to do to get it to fit ie the latches I gotta tweak besides that still chugging away on the floor it's too hot right now to be getting all messy. I'll update once I get more done. Getting closer every day.

Hey all wanted to give a jeep update it's been a minute. So I got the new fenders on and driver's side is all put back together the passengers is a work in progress. As you can see I started cutting out the rear floor on the passenger side it has to be replaced yay more body work. The Jeep is coming along slowly but surely I wanted it done by now but that's how things go I'm hoping soon we are getting closer and closer. Stay tuned

So I came across these a month or so ago I know that you can buy prebuilt ones. But I'm thinking maybe a winter project once the Jeep is road ready slowly building something like this. To take on our offroading road trip adventures. I have a little sailboat I might post here too. I'm thinking about broadening it a bit to all things off-road a little travel a little sailing but all of it is gonna be different cause that's how we roll around here. Let me know what y'all think thoughts ideas. Anybody local good at woodworking? For the trailer mods would be probably a better axle eventually then the stock one and probably upgrade to 31" tires to match old Rusty It's a long post just throwing my thoughts out to the internet. trailwr

Hey all, been getting more things done on the Jeep got the driver's side floor in pretty much all the way still drive finishing welding to do and also got that final shock in. I have a 2 inch spacer lift as well I'm just not sure if I'm going to do it just yet might wait eager to be driving Rusty already. Also as you can see by this picture I did some preemptive upgrades and eliminated the bar pins in the front and also the back figured I should just do it now save me some grief later on. Stay tuned for more getting closer to getting the old girl on the road.

Hey everyone been busy over here working on Rusty since I last dropped by I got 3 out of 4 new shocks in the front passenger is being a pain. I also swapped out the shifter to a new to me one from ebay, and I also got the back floor pan on the driver's side welded in, my dad welded it for me, lots going on should be done with drivers side and be able to move onto passenger which won't be too bad not as much work just some torque box patches. Well ill keep ya updated.

Hey all so we got the case skid plate all painted up with por 15 and got that mounted back up and we got the new body mounts in kinda hard to get a pic of that so. But next step is starting to weld in the floor yay

Hey all so the floor is in ,well it's mocked up, and the torque box is bolted up to the body the next step is gonna be paint the inside of the skid plate and then hopefully por 15 it before it goes back on the Jeep then after that we can bolt it back up and then put the new body mounts on and drop the body back down. So gonna be a lot coming at you next week probably looks like it's gonna be warm again so. Stay tuned for more

Hey all you misfitz out there that I know follow my posts. So we got the new drivers pan and the new torque box sprayed and about ready to go into the Jeep the rest will be done once the torque box and pan are in. This isn't sponsored at all but I'm using this Raptor liner spray on that works pretty well from what I can tell so far. I will keep y'all updated now that we are making more progress, the weather here is being NY weather that's for sure.

Hey everybody so we did a thing today, got the rear drivers pan in it isn't welded yet but it's in. So that's a big step now we are working on getting the drivers front pan fitted. Then the next step is weld them in then do the torque box. It's slowly but surely coming along. Will start posting more now that we are getting stuff done.

Psst hey you, yeah you in the back with the Jeep I got something to say. So as the picture shows it might finally be getting warmer again up here in the great state of new york. Which for all you southern folk means that work in the garage can pick back up again since where Rusty is isnt heated. Stay tuned for some content starting to come at you like a hurricane. I'm itching to getting back to doing things differently and finally getting this jeep on the road!!

Psst hey you, yeah you just wanted to let you know that we are still here haven't been working on the Jeep working on myself for a bit plus it's only 15 degrees here and no real garage heater means I don't do work we will be back once it gets warmer I promise, I am itching as much you guys to get back to work. Hey everyone so just an update on what's been going on. So it's been the holidays so I have been busy with friends and family. At the start of the new year I kind of lost motivation to work on Rusty and now as of today I have Covid-19 so I will have to quarantine for 2 weeks roughly. So in light of that there won't be any new content coming out as far as work on Rusty goes I will be ready to get back to work once I feel better and my quarantine is lifted. I do have the components for the touchscreen radio setup I am building so I might play with that a bit and post some stuff will depend on how I feel.

Hey everybody just finished up the 4 wheel drive cable upgrade on old Rusty I know it took forever but it's done! Still have a little bit of adjusting to do I think it is still a bit jerky but we will get all that sorted. Next up is the pain in the butt torque box and the floor. Stay tuned misfitz

Playing with torque box fitment finally I'm also working on finishing up the four-wheel drive cable install it's not really a priority but I did end up getting a new shifter instead of rebuilding works like a charm stay tuned for more.

Hey all I'm still here hard at work at my full time job. It has now gotten cold up here so work has been kind of slow on old Rusty due to this. I am still chugging along slowly my plan in my head is to have the old girl done by springtime. There is a lot of work still ahead but I will have a big post tonight on some updates that have been in motion since I have posted last. Stay tuned and remember we do it differently!

Hey all you misfitz as you can see by the pictures ol Rusty not longer has a driver side torque box mostly there are still a bunch of spot welds to drill out that are holding a thin strip on but the majority is out now to get those out and figure out the rear floor pan situation lots of fun coming up. For those wondering about a video coming up once we get more done I might post an update video but probably won't be for a bit winter is coming so idk how much work I'll be doing once it gets cold up here stay tuned.
