Watch Part 1 of ARRESTED IN LEBANON🇱🇧
In 2019 I moved back to Lebanon to improve my Arabic and film my life in a daily vlog. Only 2 weeks into that new life and I encounter led possibly the scariest day of my life in a town just south of Beirut. This is part 1 of the true story of how I was arrested in Lebanon 🇱🇧Part 2 coming to YouTube Friday, September 13th🔥#lebanon #beirut #travel #travelstory #everycountryintheworld
SOMALILAND: The TRUE STORY of how I prevented a SHOOTING
The TRUE STORY of how I prevented a SHOOTING in SOMALILAND🔥
I traveled all around Somaliland, from the capital to the coast and everywhere in between. I share all of my stories of my travels in Somaliland on social media...all except one! This is the true story of how I prevented a shooting (and probably almost caused it) in Somaliland!
AN AMERICAN TRAVEL VLOGGER speaking 7 LANGUAGES?!
New video AN AMERICAN TRAVEL VLOGGER speaking 7 LANGUAGES?! 🔥
My language journey in 7 languages
How many languages can you speak? When I was 21 and monolingual, I stumbled across a video by #stuartjayraj speaking 16 languages and my life changed forever. Language learning is not something you accomplish. It is a marriage between you and the culture, history and people of a country rolled into a set of vocabulary and colloquialisms with which you are forever engaged. After watching Stu’s video as a polyglot, I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to figuring out what that word truly means. I began studying languages whose culture and people have impacted my life or profoundly resonate with my soul. This is my language journey in 7 languages (and counting)…on YouTube Friday, July 19th! Link in bio🗣️🇧🇷🇨🇮🇱🇧🇰🇷🇦🇷🇺🇸🇮🇷🇮🇹🇹🇼
PS - I recommend @italki in case they’re looking for a partnership🤘😝

DR CONGO: I CROSSED THE BORDER INTO GOME (no joke!)
I crossed the border from Rwanda into the Democratic Republic of Congo in search of something. Something not easily found on YouTube or in the news. Hidden between the conflict in North Kivu province and volcanic eruptions of Mount Nyiragongo, there lies an underworld of individuals on a mission to accomplish one thing: laughter. I spent a few days filming and hanging out with local comedians in Goma and Bukavu and learning about the Goma comedy festival and academy that is fostering comedy and supporting young stand up comedians in the region. Check them out at the link below!
Big thank you to Mwami Balan Official and the Goma Rire Académie for sharing there story with me. You can find out more here: https://www.facebook.com/Gomarireacademie/
Also big thank you to NomadMania for helping make this trip possible. Check out NomadMania here: https://nomadmania.com
🇬🇾To sum up Guyana as just another Caribbean nation would be to miss it all. Sure there’s reggae and dancehall…but I’m hearing Hindi in the second verse of that Soca track. The waft of curry and fresh roti pierces the senses from this street and that one. The town of Vreed en Hoop? Sounds Dutch. It is! A fascinating history and rich kaleidoscope of cultures, religions and influences are what make Guyana the masterpiece that it is; a uniquely Caribbean nation wedged into South America, baked near the equatorial sun with a dash of Afro Caribbean influence and some Indian subcontinent spice, not a melting pot, a Guyanese pepper pot🇬🇾 #travel #guyana #everycountryintheworld
EL SALVADOR: IN THE STREETS WITH THE LEADER OF "EL XOLO"
What do you know about food in El Salvador? Pupusas? I travelled around El Salvador with award winning Chef Alexander Herrera to learn more about cuisine in the country and how he is reshaping the concept of what Latin American cuisine is and should be...and it's nothing short of perfection.

PANAMA: A SECRET PARADISE WORTH SAVING
Paradise...for many a faded collage in one's head with a hint of turquoise water, question mark shaped palm trees bent in the Caribbean wind, maybe one tall Piña Colada billed to the room?
What I found was another paradise. Where news is still objective, food is still substantive, and smiles supersede all that disconnects us. A paradise along a snaking murky river loaded with caymans and tradition. Somewhere hidden deep in the nationstate of Panama. Somewhere where the Emberá go.
Big thanks to Mili and everyone at Emberá Querá for welcoming me into their community!

AFGHANISTAN: ESCAPING THE TALIBAN (2021)
Episode 6 of 101 DESTINATIONS
I came to Afghanistan without a story, with no intention to film an episode. Three months after my trip, my friend, my fixer, my guide, Ramin, an Afghan photographer based out of Kabul, fled his country as the Taliban entered Kabul and took control of Afghanistan. His photos of the mass exodus from Kabul International Airport have been featured on numerous media sites, highlighting his incredible talent for photography as he captured some of the most historically significant photographs in Afghanistan's history. This is his story as an Afghan photographer before, during and after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan.
Thank you Ramin for sharing your story with the world! Check out Ramin on Instagram here:
