So I met up with my first best friend yesterday! We met in Kindergarten a million years ago and after she saw how my portraits of my Chiweenie Rose turned out, she asked if I could turn her calico cat Jasmine into royalty as a surprise for her husband. So we went out for lunch yesterday after a 9 year gap from the last time we met. And today I'm already finished with the portrait of Jasmine. I'm so happy and so is she!

A whimsical collection of magical beings who live in the forest and come out from hiding the very moment the sun dips down below the canopies.

All the creatures glow from a beautiful bioluminescence from within, so they never have to be afraid of the dark.

The Pixies and all the other glowing creatures stay very well hidden from humans, with the exception for those who enter the forest with curiosity and love in their heart. To the purest of souls, the beings who inhabit the Glowing Forest will meet you and maybe even play a game or two.

Hey guys, I really appreciate you putting up with me and my posts! Thanks for your patience while I'm trying my best with likenesses; falling somewhere between utterly failing and hey, I can sorta see the character. But my journey of learning and works in progress continues on. My goal is to not make someone completely irate if they ever see themselves in something I create.
These images are a mashup with MidJourney, then Lightroom, then Photoshop. The logo I made in Illustrator. Given all these programs they should look a lot better than they do! 😅😅
Anyways, I bring to you Stranger Dolls. Many other dolls were harmed in the making.

Let's play Which Person? and guess who's ready for some controversy!

Guess Who? was a favorite game of mine as a kid. Now as an adult, I understand the lack of diversity being a problem for some, while others think it's just a game with randomized features and faces. Ready....fight!

In the version of the game from the 90s I still have in my garage, there's only 5 women and the rest are mostly white men and I posted my reference photo at the end.

HIA is excited to present silly photorealistic versions of some of the original characters, some names and faces I stayed true to. Some names are an homage to the name I changed. Some features stayed the same while others I've diversified.

Prompts included. Oh! And I designed the flippers as well using Adobe Illustrator. This project actually took a long time and I have completed other projects before it. I debated making illustration versions of the characters as opposed to photorealistic, however I didn't feel there was much of a contrast in making new illustrations of characters.
