Boko Haram’s terrorist attacks have been particularly intense in Borno State
by nonstate armed groups suspected to be Boko Haram terrorists
A group which simply means "Western Education is sin" established by Mallam Mohammed Yusuf in 2002 in Maiduguri, Borno State and implementation of Islamic law in Nigeria (Blanchard 2014, Shuaibu, Salleh) an islamist jihadist terrorist organization that sprang up from a religious group. ( Adebayo, 2014) it started as a peaceful organisation advocating a strict interpretation (Shehu, 2015). Loosely modeled after Afghanistan's Taliban movement (Simon,2009). The Boko Haram organization's ideology is influenced by orthodox Islamic doctrines.
Boko Haram fighters have continued to ferociously attack different locations in Borno state
which, since 2011, has lost all scintilla of peace and as a result had become the most
dangerous state to live in Nigeria. Some of Boko Haram’s deadly attacks in Borno State
are the kidnapping of about 40 young adults, women and children, the Chibok girls kidnap saga,
explosions
especially Borno State, increase in IDP camps as more than 2,000
newly displaced people recently arrived in Teacher’s Village camp, Maiduguri after
2018; the capturing of escalating attacks
the North-East of Nigeria, particularly several parts of Borno State such that the UN

most dangerous region in the country. As a result of the Boko Haram insurgency, more than 5,000 people were killed worldwide that November as a result of
jihadist violence, Nigeria shared the dubious honor of being one of the four countries,
terrorists’ attacks. Although the report named Iraq as the single deadliest country
accounting for a third of all deaths and the highest number of attacks, it rated Nigeria as Same: 10,733 and 10,340 respectively
