Househacking is SO underrated 🙌

Househacking is when you buy a 1-4 unit property, live in one unit and rent out other(s).

This strategy could be for you if you…
✨need to live in an expensive area
✨want a low money down option to purchase real estate
✨want to pay less for housing than what you’re paying in rent
✨are looking to build your investing portfolio

We bought our first househack in 2018, because my husband and I were both working in the city and living in/near the city is EXPENSIVE. So we want to see if we’d be able to get help with our mortgage.

If you saw my post from last week, the property ended up making us $172,000 over 3 years where we 1) paid less in mortgage than we were paying for rent, 2) were able to start building our investing portfolio, and 3) save way more than we would have if we were living in a traditional single family home!
