𝗕𝗔𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗢 𝗚𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗦 ₱𝟮𝗠 𝗔𝗜𝗗 𝗧𝗢 𝗖𝗘𝗕𝗨

Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Councilor Jose Molintas personally turned over a ₱2 million check to Governor Pamela Baricuatro as financial aid from the City Government of Baguio to four Cebu LGUs — Bogo City, San Remigio, Medellin, and Daanbantayan — to support recovery efforts following the magnitude 6.9 earthquake on September 30, 2025.

Each of the four LGUs will receive ₱500,000 to help address immediate relief and rehabilitation needs.

The assistance, approved by the Baguio City Council through a resolution authored by Councilor Molintas, was sourced from the city’s LDRRMF–Quick Response Fund. An additional ₱125,000 contribution from M4GG (Mayors for Good Governance) was also provided to further support the affected communities.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong welcomed young leaders from various schools as they took part in the Scouts Official for a Day (SOFAD) program on October 13, 2025. The initiative allowed scouts to experience public service firsthand and understand how local offices work.

Serving as SOFAD Mayor for the day was Angela Sophea Lacson, while Jhon Christian Joel Caido took on the role of SOFAD Chief of Staff, both representing the City Mayor’s Office with confidence and dedication.—✒️MB/📷EO&ET

Mayor Benjamin Magalong dropped by the Barangay Day Celebration and Culminating Activity of the Palarong Pambarangay 2025 🏘️ held at the Melvin Jones Grandstand, Burnham Park yesterday, October 10, 2025.

Mayor Magalong expressed his appreciation for the hard work and dedication of barangay officials and frontliners, especially for their quick response and service during the earthquake that struck Baguio City last Thursday, October 9.

The celebration also featured fun games, recognition of winners, and moments of camaraderie among barangay leaders and volunteers. 👏

“Good governance is more than a promise: it is a responsibility we embrace with courage and conviction.”

To the people of Baguio and to every Filipino, Mayor Benjamin Magalong said he will continue to stand firm in the fight against corruption and will always be fearless, consistent, and true.

“The noise may be loud. The distractions may be endless. The attacks may keep coming. But our mission remains unshaken. Our commitment remains unbroken,” he stressed.

The Mayor said good governance is more than a promise but a responsibility he embraces with courage and conviction.

“No matter the obstacles, we will always fight for what is right, for what is just, and for what our people rightfully deserve,” he said.

The Mayor added that to walk in integrity is to live with honesty, consistency and uprightness, ensuring a sense of security and peace of mind that no circumstance can take away.

A life founded on truth is steady and unshaken, he pointed out.

The City Government of Baguio, under the leadership of Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, formally welcomed the Ambassador of India to the Philippines, His Excellency Harsh Kumar Jain, together with his wife, Mrs. Vandana Jain.

During the meeting, Mayor Magalong apprised the Ambassador of the city’s ongoing programs and initiatives, discussed pressing national concerns, and explored areas of possible collaboration with the Government of India.

This visit highlights the City Government’s continuing efforts to strengthen international relations and foster partnerships that contribute to the progress and development of Baguio City.

Change does not begin in grand halls or big titles.

As public servants, our words carry weight and impact beyond ourselves. Every statement, every conversation, and every message we deliver has the power either to build trust or to break it, to inspire or to discourage, to unite or to divide.

This verse calls us to guard our speech by avoiding harmful or destructive words and choosing to speak with integrity, encouragement, and respect. In governance and leadership, it is not enough to lead through actions alone; we must also lead through words that uplift, guide, and extend grace to the people we serve.

Remember that true service is not only about policies and programs, but also about fostering understanding, compassion, and dignity through communication. A servant-leader must always strive to speak with honesty, wisdom, and grace, ensuring that every word contributes to the common good and strengthens the community.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong, together with the Department of Science and Technology–CAR, formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the project “Innovating Urban Agriculture for Semi-Temperate High Value Fruiting Crops Towards SMART Farming” under the Smart and Sustainable Community Program in Baguio City last Friday, October 3.

This partnership aims to introduce modern and sustainable farming practices by establishing a smart greenhouse demo farm, showcasing advanced irrigation, fertigation, and climate control automation. The project seeks to boost food security, improve agricultural productivity, and support Baguio City’s vision of becoming a livable, inclusive, and sustainable city.

Ipapakita rito ang makabagong sistema ng irigasyon, fertigation, at climate control automation. CITY ON RED ALERT FOR 'PAOLO'

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) under Mayor Benjamin Magalong has placed the city under red alert status effective 8 a.m. today, Oct. 3, 2025 in anticipation of tropical cyclone "Paolo."

said all barangay emergency operation centers (EOCs), BDRRM and BHERTS have been activated.

The virtual EOC for quick communication with all barangays and responders has also been set in motion.
