In honour of today’s snow day, here are some pictures of a Vancouver showing its best winter sunshine. I had SO much fun taking these photos of Nicole and her young active family.

The oceanside location was perfect because I got to capture the family doing something they love… beach combing! 🌊🦀

I always try to find an outdoor location that feels special/interesting to the family. A place where the kids will be engaged by their surroundings🌬️✨I find these special places naturally inspire a sense of “awe and “oh!” in their little faces. Some stuff you just can’t fake! 💯

I’ve been laying low and pacing myself lately! I’ve got a lot of on the go and some big life updates coming soon (AH!) I’m not doing any promotion but I am still taking on a small amount of shoots during Winter 2024. I’ve couple limited spots left, inquiries can contact me [email protected] 📸

I’ve been soaking up the sun in Palm Springs after a very busy fall full of photography! It was a great Holiday card season full of old + new faces 🤍 I had so much fun creating sweet holiday photos with you all 📸

So many parents are nervous about the prospect of getting photos done…. Worried that the kids won’t sit still or “behave” long enough to grab a snap. This is real life! Your photos will reflect your life and how your family is today. Sometimes we get nervous smiles, giggles or nose picking 👃🏻👆🏻😆 Other times we take a break to blow bubbles and cool off.🫧 😃 You’ll always be able to look back and your photos and see your unique family exactly as you were/are 💐

Yana approached me a couple minutes before this family shoot was set to begin. She pulled me aside and said “I’ve got a special announcement to make during the family photos… can you capture it?!” You better believe I could!🌿⚡️ We got scheming and established a code word together, so I could be ready for the big moment.

Halfway through the big family photoshoot Yana and her husband Luke let the cat out of the bag. They told everyone they had a big announcement… they were expecting their first child!

Tears, laughter, hugging… joy. Good news makes for fabulous + heartwarming photos. Family love stories are the best love story. ✨🌿 Thanks for scheming with me Yana and Luke!

Sometimes, I think it’s unfair to have a favorite photo in a gallery… But I mean come on! I can’t help it! Every now and then a photo just “sings” in a special way. This photo was one of those favourites. Aside from it being a juice box ad (🤣) I think it’s a great representation of the confident/fun personality this kiddo has at this age! I love family photography cause I’m able to capture fleeting moments, freeze them in time, and make a couple memories for the wall 🌿 I’ve only got a couple spots left for my fall minis at Cleveland Dam! Hey Vancouver parents❗️ 📣 I can’t believe it’s already that time of year. The leaves are changing, I’m reaching for my heavy blanket and we have officially closed the always open summertime window in our apartment (a big deal for us 🫠).

This means:
1. Our apartment is now quieter with the window closed.
2. The holidays are just around the corner!

A powerful shoot! 🤍🌿 Jess approached me a couple months ago asking if she could do a special photo session with her mom. She explained that she wanted photos to empower their relationship and honour the many seasons they’ve been through. Jess and Linda’s story is beautiful! Jess was born in Mexico and Linda adopted her. Since then Linda and Jess have returned to the village in Mexico where she was born and have delved deep into her Mexican culture. Jess chose to incorporate a traditional Mexican blanket called a Rebozo into the shoot. Not only did it add a beautiful pop of colour it also payed homage to her Mexican roots. 🇲🇽➕🇨🇦

What a beautiful type of love story! Spanning a whole lifetime, different countries and cultures. It was an honour to capture it!

Eva! 🤍 This beautiful babe was only 14 days old when we did her sweet new born shoot. It’s amazing how different babies look after they “dry off.”

Newborn photoshoots help parents lock in memories from those first exciting and sleepless days. Thanks for letting me capture you sweet Eva 🐻 🤍

I had so much fun doing these photos for Trang and her family 🤍 Crescent beach in Surrey is one of my favourite places to take family photos! Here’s why:

- Tons of different variety for backgrounds! Swaying grass, forest, ocean, pier, mountains… It’s all there in one place👌🏼
- You can always find a secluded spot away from crowds, so the shoot feels private and calm 🌬️
- Beaches are great for kids! They can roam and play freely which makes for great candids 🏝️
- The sunsets are out of this world 🚀 🌅
- Close proximity to Ice cream 🍨 👀

Finding the right spot for your family is all about your priorities and your fam’s vibe. Do you like being outside? Do you play on the beach or in the forest? How active are your kids? Etc… I always make a point to have a chat with my clients about “where your family fits.” Luckily we live in beautiful Vancouver and around every corner is the perfect custom natural backdrop for your family 🤍 Mother Nature = the OG set designer👌🏼
