Being a grandparent is about these moments when the kids can come out and just be themselves. They can relax, go outside, get some fresh air, go with their grand dad on the farm or just hang out with the puppies. Grandparents are integral to a child’s development. They aren’t little for very long.

I have started making these sock savers for busy women who just don’t have time to be emptying their boots and socks every time they are working on the farm or in the garden. Light weight denim with pretty designs means you can look super cute while being very functional. One of my friends wears these every day on her farm and swears by them!

You know I have such a collection of essential oils and always buying more, however, I don’t use them nearly as much as I should be which is ridiculous! Over the past few months I have been really struggling with a lot of issues with one of the people I work with, she is a dreadful woman and it’s starting to get me to the point where I am going to quit before I do her some damage. Today there was another thing that made my gears start to grind and I had a moment where I looked at my oils and heard my inner man say “you have all these oils you need to start using them” so I grabbed Passion and rolled in on. Within about 15 minutes my anger had subsided and I was laughing instead of seething. Understanding the oils and giving yourself time to absorb them will definitely help you calm emotions and stay grounded.

Who else has puppies in the house? They were outside in a pen but the other dogs were trying to dig into them, mum was trying to dig out, it’s hot and it’s not ideal so inside they are! At least they are easy to access when we want puppy cuddles.

Another beautiful day on the farm. Honestly I couldn’t imagine any other lifestyle. When the world gets tough it’s always so grounding come home and talking to the cows!

S**t part of farming!! 3 day sickness is running rife in the farm and this ooor cow found herself in the dam overnight. We found her on the way to town barely able to keep her head out of the water. We raced up got the tractor and chains and hubby got in and dragged her out. She’s still alive barely so will see what the day brings. I friggin hate this part of farming when the animals get sick, they are helpless….

You know we always think being a parent is a super important role but being a GRANDparent in my opinion is way more important and satisfying. I have been a huge part of my grandkids lives ever since they were born and it wasn’t until driving to the start of this years school concerts for all 7 grandies that I really understood just how important my role is to these little kids. Working full time and still having a child at home myself I had forgotten that this season I am in with the grandkids is one of the greatest blessings I have been given! I usually hate the end of year concerts, it’s bloody hot, too long and it ends with me starving and tired hahahaha BUT this year is completely different. Maybe it’s because I am getting older I don’t know but I really soaked up the kindy end of year concert.

This is just what the doctor ordered to end the week. A buggy ride around the farm to check the babies and just soak up some fresh air! This place is just so amazingly beautiful. We are very blessed!

This is the supercell storm that hit us yesterday. Hard to imagine that something so beautiful can be so destructive. This side of the house looks ok, the other side not so good. Luckily none of the livestock were injured and only one fence down it could have been way worse!

How cool are these heritage beetroot! I have peeled them and chopped them up to go in to the oven and roast along with some sweet potato and potato for hubs! I grew these in tubs on my front verandah and just as well too or they may have gotten lost in the weeds out back!

Look at the size of this zucchini!! It’s bloody huge and heavy! This is the kind of food you can grow without looking after them! I haven’t been in the garden for weeks and hidden amongst the weeds are these nuggets!
