*Super Star Entertainment Speaks Ahead of coming of Vivianne Chidid to The Gambia
Officials of the Super-Star Entertainment have spoken ahead of next weekend's mega Senegambian show that hope to attract Viviane Chidid Ndour and other renowned Gambian Artists.
At a press conference hosted at a local hotel in Senegambia, organisers say the event aims to galvanised resources that will be ploughed back to the nation's hospitals in the quest towards attainment of effective and efficient health service delivery.
"This press conference is aims to update the public about the coming of Viviane Chidid, Senegalese Mbalax Super star. The renowned Mbalax super star expected to arrived in the Smiling Coast on 18th May, 2022," Yasin Jawo, Chief Executive Officer of Super Star Entertainment disclosed.
She added: "Viviane will be performing in The Gambia for three different occasions which are Gala Dinner, Grand Dance and the Kids Show."
According to her, the first appearance on the stage for the Senegalese sensation will be on the 20th May, 2022, at Penchi Mii Hall at Paradise Suites Hotel, adding that the Gala Dinner is expected to attract partners of Super-Srar Entertainment, heads of institutions, influential individuals among others.
Madam Jawo also disclosed that prominent Gambian Artistes include King of Kora Jaliba Kuyateh and Jally Naya among others to entertain the audience, adding that the massive turnout of Gambians is expected as tickets for the show are already on sale.
CEO Yasin Jawo, continued to inform that the Super Star Senegalese Artist will also perform at Q-City on the 21st of May, 2022, alongside other Gambian Artists, noting that Nobles, Morr Wally, Abou and Fafa, Nyancho, and Ous King, a Guinean artists along with T-Njie, a budding Gambian sensation.
She added that the Kids Show will also be held on the 22nd May, 2022, at the Q-City, adducing that the Kids Show is a family day outing where parents will come with their kids to enjoy.
"These platforms will go a long way towards promoting the Gambian artistes to the international stage as they perform with Viviane Chidid. It will be an opportunity for them (Gambian artistes) to sell their music to the global entertainment industry," CEO Jawo highlighted the opportunities for Gambian artistes.
She added: "I want to let you know that Viviane and the Gambian artistes will all perform to the satisfaction of the audience."
Also speaking at the conference, Binta S. Jawo, personal assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of Super-Star Entertainment said the event is geared towards contributing their quota to nation building through the promotion of the country's music industry, adding that by extension the event will create a platform for Gambian artistes as well as promote the cultural heritage of the country through music.
"The success of these events is indeed a success to the country taking into account that the proceeds of these events will be plough back to the country in the form of supporting the maternity wards of the hospitals. I therefore, call on the Gambia Government, private sector, youth, heads of institutions, people of good will and development partners to support Super-Star Entertainment in its objectives to boost the music industry in the country," PA Jawo appealed.
She added: "We are committed in creating employment opportunities for the young people in this country so that together we can scale down the unemployment rate among young people and help our Gambian youth to reach their destination. We have registered success so far since the inception among which is the creation of employment for the youth."
The moderator of the event Sulayman Waan also called on all Gambians to grace the three days event, hinting that by attending the program one is naturally contributing to the growth of the music industry of the country.
