SSS MEMBERS NA NAWALAN NG TRABAHO, MAKATATANGGAP NG HANGGANG 20,000 CASH BENEFITS

Makatatanggap ng cash benefits na hanggang 20,000 pesos ang lahat ng mga SSS contributing member na nawalan ng trabaho, depende sa kanilang monthly salary credit.

Ang SSS member ay kailangan lang mag presenta ng certification of involuntary separation mula sa Department of Labor and Employment o DOLE at savings account kung saan idedeposito ang benefits.

Maibibigay ang unemployment sa benefit sa loob lang ng limang araw, na hahatiin naman sa dalawang bigayan sa loob ng dalawang buwan.

Ayon kay SSS Public Affairs and Special Events Division head Fernando Nicolas, qualified pa rin sa unemployment benefits ang mga SSS members kahit may natanggap na silang ayuda mula sa iba pang cash assistance program ng gobyerno.

Dagdag pa nito na kahit hindi dahil sa COVID-19 ang rason ng involuntary separation ng isang manggagawa qualified pa rin ito sa unemployment benefits.

Hindi naman kasama sa kwalipikado ang mga manggagawang rehistrado bilang self-employed.

For online filing of application of Alien Employment Permit (AEP), here are the steps:

1. Scan / Digitize documentary requirements and save in PDF file format.

2. Fill out online form.

OWWA draws P2 B from OFW trust fund

Overseas Workers Welfare Administrator (OWWA) Hans Leo Cacdac announced that the OWWA Governing Board had decided to draw P2 billion from the overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) trust fund to be used for returning OFWs.

A DZMM Teleradyo report this morning said the additional P2 billion OWWA fund is on top of the existing government aid to returning OFWs such as the one-time $200 or P10,000 cash aid under the DOLE-AKAP program.

The report however did not specify where the P2 billion would be sourced, whether from the P18 billion trust fund of landbased workers or from the seafarers’ welfare fund estimated at P6 billiop, according to reports.

Administrator Cacdac clarified that the P2 billion would be used for “returning OFWs who are active OWWA members.”

He said that over 31,000 OFWs have already arrived in the country between May 25 and June 5, 2020.

Moreover, it is estimated that a total of over P41,000 OFWs would be coming home in June.

The DZMM report added that it is expected that starting next week, OWWA would accept applications for beneficiaries of the P2 billion fresh fund.

At present OWWA has been shouldering the transportation cost of OFWs, including their trip to their provinces, providing meals to stranded OFWs, and paying for the quarantine expenses, including hotel accommodation and RT-PCR testing, of landbased workers.

To finance all these assistance to OFWs, OWWA has been using funds allocated by the national government as well as OWWA trust fund.

Earlier, manning agencies were appealing to government to help them defray the mounting quarantine costs of seafarers by partly drawing from seafarers' welfare fund managed by OWWA, but the agency continues to decline. - Eloi Calimoso

Ito ay ginawa para suportahan ang bagong sistema ng rationalized bus routes ng DOTr kung saan magiging gradual, calculated, at by phased ang pagbabalik operasyon ng pampublikong transportasyon, at para ma-implement ang minimum health standards sa lahat ng pampublikong transportasyon. Mahigpit na inaabisuhan ang lahat na magsuot pa rin ng face mask tuwing babyahe o lalabas ng bahay. Manatiling nakaantabay para sa iba pang mga updates sa mga susunod na araw.
