I know some of you messaged asking where I was the second half of last week—Thursday I flew straight from DC to Disney!
A reminder to challenge yourself and do things that scare you! I have never enjoyed running, but I’ve always found it so inspiring when my friends run! I decided to train for my very first 10K and now… I might just be hooked. Still wouldn’t say I love running, but I love that finish feeling and reminding myself I can do things that are hard. Plus, who wouldn’t want to run through Disney Parks?!?
Now I’m back in GVL and will see you on the desk tomorrow 🎥

1. Getting to show off Greenville. This truly is such a cool city to live in and there’s nothing I love more than hosting friends and introducing them to this 💎.
2. A moment for the 🎀! This was taken a night that two friends showed up for me in a VERY big way and I will absolutely never forget that.
3. Chatting theatre with Britney Coleman. Fun fact: My car is named after the role she played in Beetlejuice, Maitland 🤍.
4. On assignment at one of my favorite bookstores. Hot cocoa, 📖, a career you love—what more does a girl need?!
5. Taken in Charlotte the night Beth and I saw Heather McMahan. Although clearly Beth has me laughing all on her own🍷.
6. Spending time with baby Cove 🩷. Still can’t get over the fact that I’ve named a human!
7. Meeting baby Joelle 🍼. Gosh, it’s pretty cool that I get to be this girl’s aunt and that my two besties had a baby together.
8. A Midwestern girl embracing her Southern city 🤠.
9. Celebrating the bride-to-be 💍! My cousin Mandy is about to be a Mrs!
10. Interviewing Miguel Cervantes while he was in GVL. Miguel was Alexander Hamilton in Chicago for years before going to Broadway. It was so fun to get to meet “my” Hamilton 🤩.
The latest edition of the Fox Carolina Surprise Squad aired last night and it's a story that absolutely has touched my heart. When I was asked if I had any ideas for January, I immediately thought of Cole's Victory Lap An Upstate couple grieving the loss of their 2-year-old son to cancer, choosing to go back to hospitals to help others in a similar journey. It's an amazing story of strength and a reminder that Cole's legacy lives on every single day.
I love working for a station that not only strives to tell these types of stories, but also to help give back with United Community.

A quick story of why I love living in the Upstate: Yesterday while driving to an appointment, one of my front tires popped. I knew something was wrong and pulled over the first place I could-- which just so happened to be Greenville Fire Station No. 1. Before I could even get out of my car, two firefighters were walking toward me ready to help. They got my car jacked up, flat tire off and spare put on in under ten minutes! Even putting some air in the spare before I drove off. They took what could be a scary, anxiety-inducing situation and instead made it so easy. I am so appreciative to our first responders for helping with smaller things like flat tires to much larger moments like saving lives. There's just something special about friendly faces offering to help, no questions asked. They play a huge role in making our community what it is! Had to share the moment of kindness on Midday today!
