A celebratory offer from Peter Mooney / Loyalty and Honour Publishing.

As some of you will be aware, this is the 20th anniversary year since my first book was published. To help celebrate that, I have applied discounts to the following book titles:

My Brother in Arms - Kurt Sametreiter
Das Reich Tiger Commander - Philipp Theiss
Sommer 1943: The Totenkopf Division
VII. Battalion LSSAH: 1942
The Men of SS-Schule Tölz

They can all be viewed at the link below:

https://lahpublishing.com/collections/our-books?page=1

So, with Christmas on the horizon, maybe time to add some of the missing titles from the LAH Publishing inventory, whilst treating yourself.

You may also be aware of my health situation? As a result of that, none of the above listed titles will be reprinted. If you have not already acquired one, or more, of them, then maybe this is the time to.

Thanks for the ongoing support and interest and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards
Peter

This weekend, many people are situated in Holland, marking and celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Allied advance into that country. The bravery of the Allied soldiers, and Dutch resistance who helped ensure that many Dutch civilians enjoyed their first freedom in four years. That advance almost succeeded in crossing the German border in mid-September, but was held by a mixed force, mostly comprised of W$$ troops.

That was on the back of the successful Normandy battles for the Allies, begun in June, culminated in the opening days of September and something that also seen it's recent 80th celebrations.

To help you understand the extent of those two major battles, read about some of the experienced soldiers the Allies faced and the stories of the Knight's Cross awardees who were recognised for their defensive action during Normandy and Market Garden, we can recommend the latest release from LAH Publishing.

Waffen-$$ Knight's and their Battles - Volume 6, summarises the W$$ perspective of the Market Garden operation (amongst others) and details the W$$ men who led key defensive actions which helped to stop the Allied advance in northeast Holland.

It also details more W$$ soldiers who were recognised with the Knight's Cross for their recent Normandy-related actions.

Waffen-$$ Knight's and their Battles - Volume 5, summarises the Normandy fighting, from the perspective of the W$$ and details the soldiers who received their Knight's Cross between June and August 1944.

Both volumes combined, provide over 900 pages of detail, cover 180+ W$$ awardees (many of them recognised for their actions during the above two pivotal battles), with nearly 60 maps to provide a visual overview of the movements.

To secure your copies, go to the link below, or PM me, if you prefer a personally signed copy.

Peter.

Back now from the Military Odyssey show and great to catch up with a lot friends, existing customers and new ones.

The book was well received and a few surprised faces, when seeing the thickness of this new volume, alongside V5 (which was already thicker than any of the preceding 4 volumes).

For those of you waiting on your orders, they will be actioned today (being picked up tomorrow) and I am in varying conversations, sorting new orders for others.

If you have been holding off, waiting until I am back, go ahead and your order(s) will be fulfilled quickly now.

Thanks for your patience on this one - great to have the book just ahead of the show, but not great for those of you waiting, whilst I was at the show.

I will also take this opportunity to thank you for your support and interest in my various publications over the past 20 years. In that time, I have written, translated or published 20 titles; I hope to produce a few more, before my time is up.

Many of you have every one of those on your shelves and I thank you for that.

Once these orders are sorted, work will continue on competing Fritz Witt, with a self imposed deadline of the end of this year.

Regards and you have my appreciation and thanks.
Peter.

Loyalty and Honour Publishing are pleased to announce the launch of W$$ Knights and their Battles: Volume 6.

This is the sixth volume of the on-going project that is detailing the chronological bestowal of all Knight’s Cross related awards to the soldiers of the Waffen-SS during the Second World War.

This volume will cover the timeframe from the start of September 1944 to the end of January 1945. It will focus on the stabilisation of the western front in the autumn of 1944, Operation Market Garden, the battle for Metz and the Ardennes Offensive, as well as Operation Nordwind. It will also detail the loss of Estonia and the forming of the Courland Pocket, as well as the collapse of the south-eastern front in Greece, then Romania and onto Hungary. The pressure on the German Armed Forces and the Waffen-SS formations within them, was immense and no last ditch offensive actions changed that; they only caused further costly losses, which facilitated the final defeat a few months later.

This volume will detail a further 103 Knight’s Cross related awards (the most confirmed awards in any single volume), and features 84 Knight's Cross, 16 Oakleaves and 3 Swords-level awardees. 27 Maps and 103 photographs will help you visualise the battles that tested these soldiers and provided them the chance to receive the awards detailed within. An intense volume that covers some of the most well-known battles of the entire war and one that will add to your overall understanding of that conflict.

The book format and contents are:
6x9 inch portrait format
Hard back
512 gloss pages (1.6kg)
102 photos, 27 maps

The price is £40.00 (postage additional).

For those of you on the wait list, I will be in touch.

Please bear in mind that I am only around for the first few days of this week, then I will be off to The Military Odyssey show for the second half of the week, into the start of next week, which may delay the dispatch of your book(s)

Thanks for your ongoing interest and support of my various historical book projects.

Regards
Peter.

Who are we? Established in 2013 with the sole purpose of bringing WWII personal archives into the wider market. Experience? Over 25 years of research on the subject of the WSS in WWII, together with 15 years of face-to-face contact with veterans who served within the ranks of the WSS. Purpose? Those who have had direct contact with the veterans of the WSS have been lucky enough to have seen personal archives containing photographs, documents and medals. From time to time, these archives move into the ownership of non-veteran individuals. These archives will, in most cases, go into a secure location and only be seen by a handful of choice people. Our aim is to help ensure that these historically important archives get the chance to be seen by a wider audience, whilst protecting the integrity of the original collections. A key aim is to identify how these archives can help portray the accurate history of the WSS during WWII. The ability to do this without political prejudice, pre-conceived ideas or 'agenda' is paramount.

LAH Publishing does not hold any political convictions of any type, or towards any particular 'cause', 'flag' or ideology, but is purely interested in the military history of the WSS.
