I dance on clouds with paws so light,

Rainbow Bridge is where I'll be,

I loved the wet, oh what a treat,
Splashing in puddles, oh so sweet.
Lake Tahoe was my favorite place,
With joy and love, my heart did race.

Snowy days were pure delight,
Zoomies, running, oh so bright.
Kissing koi in ponds so deep,
In dreams, those memories I keep.

Playing ball was so much fun,
Chasing, fetching in the sun.
Tree branches, treasures on our trail,
In lakes, they made my doggy tale.

I miss you, Mom, but don't you cry,
For I'm a star up in the sky.
Sending love in every breeze,

In honor of our sweet Bakes being at the rainbow bridge for 2 years, I wanted to post one of my fav dance videos of his. We miss this angel every damn day. Grief is such a rollercoaster. But now that it has been 2 years I can control my emotions (for the most part) way better than last year. It’s slowly becoming easier to navigate the heartache. If you’ve recently lost a pet hang in there. Time does make a huge difference. It can take a long time to get there but take it one day at a time and I promise you’ll be ok at some point in the near future. I never thought I would be ok again but here we are 2 years later…I can finally watch his videos without completely breaking down. I can sometimes even watch them with tears of joy! I will never get over Baker or stop missing him but my heart feels ok now. And I am at peace with his loss. We love you forever and always Bakey Boy.
