Headline from November 1995, when Rose West (now aged 70) was convicted of murder (10 counts). People thought she would follow the actions of her husband/accomplice Fred, who killed himself by hanging whilst on remand. She didn't, and is still serving a whole life order.
Superb 2 minute video. RIP Alfred Swinscoe.

Jack the Ripper. The unknown serial killer murdered and mutilated at least five women in the East End of London in 1888. Every time he gave the police the slip. He only made one mistake – dropping a piece of apron ripped from his fourth victim. Catherine Eddowes was murdered in Mitre Square in the...

We were recently in London on the trail of Jack the Ripper. This is Simon on Goulstone Street in Whitechapel. Did the killer stop to write a message here in 1888? Our podcast will try and decipher some of the theories.
Simon and Jacques have just returned from a 'right cockney knees up' in London's East End.
No prizes for guessing what case they were looking at.

Why did Lee Harvey Oswald shoot JFK? We’ll never know. Jack Ruby saw to that. But we do know why Sirhan Bishara Sirhan assassinated Robert F. Kennedy in 1968. Sirhan was captured. And over the course of his life sentence, he’s gone on record about what motivated him. Patrick Magee, the Brighton ...

Donald Neilson the so-called 'Black Panther', was tried at Oxford Crown Court on 14 June 1976, amidst a media circus. He was charged with four murders, as well as various other charges of attempted murder, GBH, robbery, kidnapping and firearms possession. Prosecutors were unable to charge him with the murder of security guard, Gerald Smith, as he had survived more than a year and a day beyond the brutal attack.
