It’s and today we present the lord of all familiars… the most ancient of all beings… the mystery himself… Gremlin!

Gremlin, or “Grem,” is the caretaker of the Dungeon Hobbyshop and Museum in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Grem is rumored to have once been a dragon who was cursed when an angry wizard stumbled upon his horde. Since becoming a cat, Grem patrols the birthplace of D&D and blesses the dice of any who dare to approach him. (On our pilgrimage Mallory’s dice were blessed by a magical nose “boop.”) Grem stalks the shop cloaked in shadow, protecting the sacred D&D tomes from thieves and demons. Grem is older than time itself. Grem was there at the beginning of the world and will be there at its end.

Barty is a level 5 bard who will steal your heart with the song of his people at all hours of the night. He’ll rub up against your legs and beg you for a can of his favorite wet food all while being your loyal friend. He has two favorite spots in his humble abode: both where the sun shines brightly and gives him a great view of his favored enemy, the birds. Barty’s favorite toy is a balled up piece of paper which he is quick to hide so that way he can play with it again in the middle of the night while his mom is sleeping. Don’t let his beautiful face deceive you; he’ll hide under your bed and sn**ch at bare feet with his razor sharp claws!

This unlikely trio is the perfect party for one so young and enthusiastic. His high energy is balanced by Smokey’s quiet wisdom and Luna’s steadfast hatred for most things. Odin is yet to go adventuring, but an ancient prophecy predicts that when he does he will lose an eye. Odin is unbothered by this prediction.

Smokey has a dark past full of scars and hardship, but he does not let that dampen his sense of optimism and hope now that he has found loving friends. Though he is a barbarian, Smokey has never raged! He relied on patience and persistence to defeat his enemies and has since retired. He is living out his days in the presence of the famous witch: Luna the cat. This allows Smokey to be protected without having to fight anymore.

Mushu is a level 7 druid. At the middle age of 5, he has become quite lazy and brandishes an attitude sharper than his claws. He loves to spend long days in the wilds of Indiana lounging about eating berries and worms (PRAISE THE WORM KING!). He dreads ceiling fans and knows that one day his demise will befall him in the gaze of his own reflection; this is why Mushu abhors all mirrors and reflective surfaces. He loathes affection but will easily be lured from his home to go adventuring.
