As the officially overturns the decades-old precedent set by v Wade, many conservatives see this as a win after decades of fighting. However, some activists fear that this could merely be the start of a series of decisions that pander to the Christian conservatives, eroding the separation of church and state.
While liberal politicians may advocate for the complete removal of religion from mainstream law and politics, some, most notably former president Barrack Obama, point out that often there are cases before the supreme court that push the envelope of morals and ethics. In such situations, it is only natural that judges turn towards religion for guidance.
