So I was originally supposed to release a book with Lisa back in 2024, for release number 29, for whatever reason nothing materialised, and I moved forward with more releases. At some point last year we spoke again, and she said that she still wanted to release a collection that she only referred to as Coffee Chronicles; I told her if it was something she wanted to do as a serious project then send it over and I’d make the space for her. When the collection eventually came through, I found a series of latte and cappuccino laced musings. Thoughts and introspection on falling both in and out of love, delicate in the garnishes and lines that roast themselves in your psyche, much like the Colombian coffee beans that served as the initial source of inspiration. Coffee Chronicles is one of those books that has been brewing for a long time, and it’s now ready to be served. I present DTPP48

I was working last Saturday looking at the list of releases
for this year and next year,
and thinking to myself I need a new anthology.
So running until the end of March 2027,
for a release in around October 2027,
we will have our second memories anthology.

A maximum of five poems, no line length,
just great poetry.
Please submit as a Word document, PDF, or Pages
for those with a Mac.

As always all money made from the collection will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society. I can’t wait to read through all the submissions

This book was originally planned to be released back in 2023 as book number 7, same title, the only thing I will never know is how different the contents was. for whatever reason it wasn’t meant to be then. When we spoke again about the collection it was like the very next day. We agreed on a women’s month release, and the collection that was handed in commands your attention, Lauren has such a way with words, having you fixated in what she has to say constantly. I will say, if someone told me this was the best release thus far, depending on the day, I may not agree, but I’d understand. With all that said, better late than never that I present DTPP47

A day is a long time in poetry, let alone a year, that can feel like eternity, Emily went into this project with the intention of only presenting what she had completed in the timeframe that she had allotted for herself. Her linear narrative which tells us a loose story of where life is at and going for her with incredible storytelling. Of Moths And Moonlight is every bit the delicate floral arrangement as it is a stream of consciousness ideology. With all that said, I present DTPP46

Since 2023 we have always released two female poets during the month of March as it’s women’s month, and the 8th is international women’s day.
So we are showcasing our incredible female poets. An exhibition of respect and love to the writers, and artists who influence us every day.

This is a book which has been a year in the making since our initial phone call, and time is one of those things which can see a book be brilliant or overthought and a shadow of the original idea. Casey delivers a collection that is both where she is at now, and everything that has brought her to this point all at once. With a collective of guest poets in full support of her, including her grandmother, each showing her their love and support in a series of unique ways. Chaotic Soul will stand on it’s own merit for a lifetime, and I’m super excited to see what the next move is for this auteur. With all that said, I present DTPP45

The mouth may forgets but her pen tells us all, memories that have been read and dictated over and over again. When I first spoke with Abigail I was surprised that the collection had been compiled over the proceeding decade. A lifetime of trauma and experience laid bare. It part punches you in the throat, and is a delicate flower, that makes you feel so much. Abigail takes her time to perfect her craft and produce, a masterpiece that will be returned to for years to come. With all that said, I present DTPP44

This book originally sat in my unread emails for ages while I was busy changing jobs and meeting my partner, that things did just get lost and forgotten in the ether of life. When I finally got to opening and reading the manuscript, I was blown away by the incredible depth of storytelling, and from multiple perspectives. Rooted deep within heavy metal and all its sub-genres, it both packs powerful emotions and punches; ready to be unleashed like a rock opera in poetry form. An incredible debut.

As another year elapses here at Dark Thirty, and 12 more books which were all killer, no filler (the streak continues) The class of 2025 is eleven poets, from Kellan’s flawless opener, to the double collection that Jordan punched into the universe, the imagery painted by both Giselle and L. M. Beatty in every scene they documented. While Hannah, Rhys, and adam all fought through their respective battles to find a level of peace in each of their collections. Michaela with her Irish infused confessions as her life hits a milestone, and she searches for the answers. Ashley hit new heights with her unpredictable ergodic style, as Rheign ventured into it. Finally Izzy threw a curveball with her sleep fuelled storytelling.

The real questions now.
Who had the best book? The best cover? Your favourite individual poem? What were the lines that became stuck in your head for days? Are you excited for what the future brings?

Can’t wait to show you the releases for 2026.

Impressions has been a long time coming, the other side to Flat Front, as we thought that the original design of the manuscript was too big. The second half of the split went through a series of changes and revisions which allowed Jordan to present herself more honest than the first collection. This is a New York Florida hybrid which demands you to submerge yourself into. The link that brought Jordan to Dark Thirty was tedious, but it’s amazing. 2025 was Jordan’s year, being two for two. What will she produce in the future is a question to ask, but for now let’s enjoy as I present DTPP42

Independent publishers are allowed to select six poems for consideration for the Pushcart Awards. So the plan this year was simple, take one poem from each book, hide the title, and poet, before sending it out to all DTPP family members and asking them to vote on their six favourite pieces. The poems with the highest votes have become the list. Today we are showing the six that we have submitted as the best works of the year. adam
