WOW WOW WOW – We are so proud of our Semi Finalists and coaches for their outstanding performances at our Grand Finale on Sunday night. It was truly a spectacular show – it was 7 amateurs competing, highlighted by talented Hosts Branden James and Brenda Gaviño. Gabe Arciniega brought the RISE Story Video to life with his passionate delivery of RISE Up!

The judges had such a difficult time selecting 2 top performers, so they chose 3! Congratulations to Angeloo and Sargento Dan for seizing the 1st and 2nd place prizes, respectively. Sebastian Preciado mesmerized the audience with his foot jugging of fire and humans, coming in 3rd place.

The new "Steve Yates" Spirit award, representing the most enthusiastic performer and supporter went to Melina the 12 year old pianist who invited her Preliminary Round colleagues/competitors to perform with her on the stage during the competition.

The real winners are the kids at RISE, thanks to The Butterfly Sanctuary and Botanical Gardens in Puerto Magico (Wes and Zhander) and Karl Griggs who offered a matching challenge of $20,000 USD. We were humbled by the outpour of the community to meet the challenge – which they did at $60,000USD. This is an amazing feat, and it is overwhelming to think about the love that came through in those 10 minutes of fundraising!

We are looking for a few businesses to provide 50 ‘pieces’ of their product for a cocktail hour at our Grand Finale Talent Show Fundraiser on Feb 18th at Teatro Vallarta. It could be a cookie, nut bar, ¼ or ½ sandwich, popcorn, etc.

We will have up to 250 VIP Ticket holders coming to a pre-show cocktail hour and are looking to give one item to each guest – the first 5 responses to [email protected] will get the promotional spots.

Think about the best way to promote your business and we will have the audience for you.

You will receive 2 tickets to the show in exchange for your support of the kids!

Last night we celebrated the life of our friend Steve Yates. He was a great entertainer and left us too soon. - We were honored to have him in our first two Talent Show fundraisers. He was crucial in making these events successful. In his honor we have created the ‘Steve Yates Spirit Award’ to be given to the most enthusiastic performer and supporter. RISE Puerto Vallarta has lost a dear friend, supporter, contributor and entertainer. Steve Yates was like no other. Full of life and a big heart! We are grateful to have had Steve as part of our Rise Puerto Vallarta family. His infectious smile and energy will be greatly missed by many. Please keep his husband, John Yates , and his family and friends in your prayers as we all process this loss. 💔. This is how we choose to remember him! Love you Steve!
