I took these pictures a couple of days ago of my husband and son and I haven’t been able to post them because I honestly couldn’t find the words to say. My heart has been so heavy lately with everything that’s going on. I woke up one morning with tears in my eyes as I watched my husband sleep and as I thought about my black son in the other room. I honestly still don’t have words for how I’m feeling but I will say that it’s heartbreaking to know that my men and any man of color is a target or could be another hashtag, just because of the color of their skin and nothing else. As a black woman I’m angry, upset, hurt and tired of these murders year after year. It’s definitely time to stop talking and start finding ways to implement change wherever we can. Gather you and your groups of friends, your family, your squad or whatever you call them and let’s work together to strategize and get it done. The time is now. “If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything” 🖤🖤🖤
