There comes a point in life where you're done with the way rhings are and the unwanted things you keep calling in.

For me it was the job and the way the job made me feel and effected every other area of my life.

I'm a huge believer in manfestation and divine timing and last March, I manifested the right course and mentor into my life to change the direction I was heading.

Thanks to and I have completed my CPD certified course for social media management and their community is second to none.

This year will see massive growth for my business but even more so for me personally.

It's never to late to start, to change your dreams, to go in a new direction and want something completely different.

The key is to just start 👏

Social media managers and experts by the boat load filling your feed or telling you directly that they can help your socials & business grow.

I'm not saying they can't, there are some absolute social wizards out there!

But it can feel scary investing money into something like that, so when is the right time to hire a social media manager?

Swipe for a few indicators it night be time.

But remember, never feel pressured or like you 'have to hire someone'. If the vibe between you and the smm ain't there and it's not an immediate 'hells yes!' It's probably not the right fit.

Do your research and find 'your person'. The one that gets you, gets your business, matches your energy & your vision and eventually, knows what you want before even you do!

Ugh 🙄 another product, another sale, another offer. Blah blah blah.

I see it a lot, brands are stuck in a content loop only showing off their products and selling to their audience.

It gets a little old and people, aka your consumers, need a little something more from you. That something?

Connection.

Hopefully you’ve heard of Know Like Trust. It’s business 101! And the Like and Trust part is particularly important when it comes to actually selling.

People ain't going to buy if they don’t know what you’re about and actually trust you!

If you’re constantly selling or just posting picture after picture after picture of your products, that doesn’t exactly scream ‘hey we totally get you and vibe with you, lets hang out on socials’ does it?

If you take anything away from today, remember this 👉🏼

There is no such thing as perfection!

Every time you show up on your social media, show up as yourself.

Don't even bother to strive for perfection, strive for being you.

Every time you think someone elses business or life is doing so much better than yours, remember you've just seen a brief moment.

What you see on social media, is only what someone has decided they will share.

Don't be PERFECT, be YOU.

I bet you didn't know the last one! 😏

Carousels have been around for a while. They're used a lot, second to reels.

But are you maximising their potential and making sure you're keeping your readers hooked?

Firstly, make sure you're using carousels for the right type of content. Education!

I have seen time and time again people posting a few pictures with little to no context. A total waste of a post if you ask me!

Make sure you research and include quality information. To keep people hooked,l and seeing you as an expert in your field, try and include something they won't have seen anywhere else.

Quality content increases likelihood of watch time and saves, key metrics instagram is loving right now!

As tempting as it is, try not to use all 10 carousel slides. People are skimmers and they want that juicy info quickly. You don't want them giving up before the end!

Keep words on each slide as minimal as possible. Too much information = too much hard work for people. Save the meaty details for your caption.

Just make sure there's enough info in the post that people feel like they're getting value.

💡 And bonus! Move your text around. Don't keep it in the same place on each slide. The mind likes to predict what's coming, so of you change it up each time, it unconsciously needs to stay and figure out what's different!

Social media is often overcomplicated by others🤦🏼‍♀️

But its not. Not really...

Simple changes can make a big impact to the impressions you make.

Will it get you thoudands of followers once you've changed? Absolutely not...but it's a marathon not a sprint.

So let's tuck in.

1. Make sure you or your brand is clear. What do you do?

2. Make sure who you serve is clear. This doesn't have to be in your bio like "I serve women who want to feel great" No. But it can be in your content through your images, copy and hashtags.

3. Links! Oh nu gosh. The number of links I've pressed on that don't fully work. Linktr.ee clicks that don't have working links within them and information is hard to find. A simple clean up will make your customers journey easy peasy and they won't leavey 😁

4. Vary your content. Stop being in sell mode, or educate mode or fun mode. Have 5+ content pillars, rotate and share something personal and outside your business.

Customers needs are changing and they want more of the people BEHIND the brand.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST FOR ANY BUSINESS, NEW OR ESTABLISHED.

Client avatars are essential in fine tuning and arrow-shooting your message.

A good 'Avatar Exericse' will let you know where your clients are, where they're hanging out online, what other interests they have, what they don't like, what is bothering them and what they're after (their desires).

And this is something you need to be starting, even if you think you want to appeal to everyone (FYI you shouldn't!)

And even if you're an established business, you need to know 2 things:

1. Who do you want to attract to your business?

2. Who are you attracting?

Even if these things are lined up, its good to review to find out if there's any changes in the behaviour of your ideal client, and adjust your content to meet that change.
