Unfortunately, we often learn from the most challenging times. We realize we can move through. We learn how to help others. Audrey Laura White faced so many losses in her life. So much so that one loss made her realize her purpose - to help people with their grief. Audrey’s story is intense and heartbreaking, but we can learn much from it. Listen to her story on Tuesday, 1/23/24. I am so grateful to have had this conversation.
🎙️ In today's episode, I got the chance to connect with Allison Teicher-Fahrbach. From the age of 12, Allison harbored a dream, a goal that she was determined to achieve. Despite facing numerous challenges, including tough family times and a pretty rough accident, Allison's perspective on life's hurdles is uniquely positive.
🌟 What's truly fascinating about her story is how she viewed each obstacle as a 'good sign,' reminiscent of that classic Ace of Base song. This mindset is a testament to her resilience and optimism.
💡 This episode is not just a story about overcoming adversity; it's a lesson in viewing life through a lens of positivity and determination. Allison's journey is a reminder that the challenges we face can often be the very signs that lead us to our true paths.
🔗 Tune in to today's episode to listen to Allison's story and see how turning challenges into opportunities led to a fulfilling life.

Stephanie Franklin - Fly Wines Founder
In today's episode of The Life Shift Podcast, I had the chance to talk with Stephanie Franklin, founder of Fly Wines, about the pivotal moment that changed her life forever.
Many, including myself, might assume that Stephanie's venture was a tribute to her late mother. However, Stephanie, embodying the entrepreneurial spirit, reminded me that our endeavors should stem from our own intuition and passion. While we honor our loved ones, it's our inner calling that should guide our path.
Stephanie's journey is a collection of golden nuggets of wisdom. Her courage in embracing the unknown and trusting in her abilities is a beacon for anyone on the entrepreneurial path. Though I often say that entrepreneurship isn't my thing, Stephanie's thoughts are forever inspiring.
The Life Shift Podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, GoodPods, and other platforms.

I am guilty of making little hurdles seem like mountains, but that is not Stephanie Franklin's way of thinking. It's probably why she jumps head first into projects with confidence and assurance that anything she faces, she can handle, and any hurdle is a chance to learn more.
Her story is coming on Friday, January 12th. I know that her message and the pivotal moment that led her to start Fly Wines will inspire my entrepreneurial friends to lean into your curiosities and trust your abilities.

On today's episode of The Life Shift Podcast, I have the honor of sharing Mindy Corporon's story of unimaginable loss and remarkable resilience.
Mindy shared not just the traumatic details of the tragedy that struck her family, but also how she's channeled her grief into positive action. As the co-founder of Seven Days, Workplace Healing, and the author of "Healing a Shattered Soul," her efforts in promoting kindness, understanding, and overcoming hate are so inspiring.
We all work through our grief in different ways, but Mindy's approach to handling grief - by embracing it, processing it, and eventually, using it as a catalyst for positive change, is a powerful message for us all.
I resonated deeply with her emphasis on 'feeling the feels' and allowing grief to manifest in its own unique way for each of us.
Her work with Workplace Healing is a strong commitment to aiding others in their times of need, fostering empathy and understanding in professional environments.
I recommend listening to this powerful story and reminding yourself of the resilience we all possess within.

It's 2024, take a chance on yourself!
Rebecca Kirk shares how she did just that and found fulfillment in the career she created for herself. Check out her episode on The Life Shift Podcast today!
Rebecca Kirk shares how she was called to help others with their career journey through their spirituality in the 1/2/24 episode of The Life Shift.
www.thelifeshiftpodcast.com/s2e103
I know a few of you can relate to the feelings that Rebecca Kirk shares in today's episode of The Life Shift Podcast. I was apprehensive to chat about something related to spirituality, but I found so much common ground with what Rebecca shared.
Here's the gist of Rebecca's story:
She was doing well in her corporate job, but something felt off. So she took a brave leap, headed to Sydney for a break, and BAM! She found a moment of pure bliss, and her life took a turn.
That's essentially what happened to Rebecca (in maybe a more poetic form). She went from feeling lost in the corporate world to finding her true calling.
She shares a bit about her "neutral zone" - that space between an old life and a new beginning. She also talks about the power of trusting your gut and where it can lead you.
Rebecca's journey is all about breaking free from what's expected and discovering what makes you feel aligned.
We'd be so honored if you listened to this episode or shared it with your friends. I'll share the links in the comments for easy access.

This week's episode with Chris Rock is a story of finding total comfort in going public as a criminal hacker or cyber mercenary.
Chris' story was fascinating to me. Going into this conversation, I thought I would learn a ton about cyber mercenaries and be confused most of the time. And while that did happen, the best part was hearing how relatable the story was to so many people.
This is a story of finding your passion, getting really good at it, and being open and honest with the world about it. Although some people may consider Chris' work criminal, we chat about how most of his activities are for the greater good and driven by his curiosity.
And, of course, the best story here is his invitation to do a TED talk and then a rescinded offer after they asked him to prove his skills... and he did.
I'll share some of the popular links in the comments below so you can check them out during your potential downtime this week!
In today's society, the word "hacker" has a negative connotation. But the reality is that hackers are important parts of the cybersecurity equation.
Imagine if TED invited you to do one of their famous talks. But since you’re a cyber hacker, they question your abilities. So you show them by hacking into their systems, which results in a reversal in their invitation. Chris Rock shares his story on Tuesday’s episode about how going public about his profession helped to elevate his joy and passion in his cyber mercenary work.
Jeremy Grater shares his Mental Health Journey
The stories we tell ourselves can be destructive.
I'm so glad I got to share this convo with Jeremy Grater from The Fit Mess Podcast. So much of his mental health journey resonates deeply.
We talked about so many aspects of his journey, including how this conversation helped to validate my own experiences with mental health.
Honored. Always.

Balancing Act: Financial Success and Personal Joy in the Creator Journey | Justin Moore
My new pal Justin Moore was seeking out places to share stories he doesn't regularly share in his creator journey on other podcasts. Luckily, he chose The Life Shift Podcast as one of his stops.
In this 100th episode, Justin shares two significant shifts in his entrepreneurial journey. One that feels like a heist movie (without the stealing) and one that so many of us can connect with, a phoenix out of the ashes type moment when all hope feels lost.
In all ways, Justin's story reminds us of how much we all have in common and how much we can learn from listening to each other and showing genuine care for each other's well-being.
As this is a little milestone, I'll ask for something. If you listen to this episode and you like the vibe of The Life Shift podcast, would you consider sharing this episode (or the show) with a friend? I'll share some links in the comments for easy access.
Thank you to Justin for trusting me with your story. Much appreciated, forever inspired.

One thing I have learned so far in the first 99 episodes of The Life Shift Podcast is that there is power in sharing OUR stories.
Months ago, Bob Batchelor reached out to suggest Jackie Ferguson (The Diversity Movement) for the podcast. After some back and forth, Jackie decided she would share part of her story that she doesn't share too often (outside of her close circle). Understanding that, I knew it was my responsibility to hold the space for Jackie to share in whichever way felt best for her.
Jackie shared her journey through her seemingly checklist life, looking for the promised happiness. Leading up to the birth of her daughter, when society tells women they should be happy, she faced deep despair in other situations surrounding her - the loss of her grandmother and a crumbling marriage.
But it was during emergency procedures that Jackie told herself she would make it through and change things for the better. Of course, it didn't change overnight, but her daughter's birth was the turning point in which Jackie knew she would live life more on her terms and provide a wonderful journey for her daughter.
I've said it before: I'm forever honored that so many people choose me to share their stories with, sometimes for the first time. Thank you all for allowing me to have this journey with The Life Shift.
In any case, I'll share the links to some platforms in the comments below so you can listen to Jackie's inspiring journey.
Facing the pressure to pursue a perfect life, Jackie hit a breaking point. Did she feel like giving up? Find out what kept Jackie going on today's episode of The Life Shift Podcast.

🌠 Jackie Ferguson's journey teaches us resilience in the ebb and flow of life. Right before a pivotal moment in her life, she faced profound loss. Her story reminds us that even in the shadow of grief, we can find the strength to embrace new beginnings. Her resilience in the face of sorrow and change is a powerful testament to the human spirit. 🍃
Exciting News (for me): I Hit My 2023 Patreon Goal! 🎉
I'm super excited (and humbled) to share that The Life Shift Podcast has "officially" hit my goal of 30 subscribers on Patreon before the end of 2023! It might not seem like a big number to some, but for this little one-person team over here, it's a huge deal and a vote of confidence.
To celebrate, I'll do something fun: a t-shirt giveaway, but this time for two people!!
After the free trial period ends for the newest member, all the Patreon members will be entered into a draw to win one of my podcast t-shirts (I'm sure you've seen them). It's my tiny way of saying thanks and sharing the joy I feel.
If you're curious about what I'm doing over there and want to be part of this growing community, feel free to check out patreon.com/thelifeshiftpodcast
Your support means the world to me, and I can't wait to see what's next in this most fulfilling journey. Thanks for being part of it!
