Synopsis:
Beauty & the Beast meets Criminal Minds in this Murder Mystery Romantic Suspense
After an attack on the job, Homicide Detective Isobel ‘Bel’ Emerson takes her dog and moves to the small town of Bajka in search of a less stressful life and career, but the quaint town’s peace is disturbed when a local furniture designer is murdered, his body posed to look like a human chandelier. Thrust back into the fray, Bel must confront her personal demons as she investigates an impossible case, and as bodies turned into household objects start to pile up, all clues point to the reclusive millionaire who just bought the abandoned mansion at the edge of town.
Eamon Stone is as dangerous as he is handsome, and Bel can’t shake the feeling that there’s more to his presence in Bajka than meets the eye. Something about him is familiar, and while she knows he’s a threat, she can’t fight his pull. Like a moth to the flame, she’s drawn to the man stalking her, to the only murder suspect they have, and Bel fears he craves her blood as much as she craves his presence. She fears he is the evil hunting this town... the beast hunting her.
Loosely inspired by Beauty & the Beast, Autopsy of a Fairytale is a crime series romantic suspense perfect for those who like dark fairytales, murder mystery procedurals (like AMC’s The Killing or NBC’s Hannibal), romance, found family, and a hint of fantasy. Each book will be based on a different fairytale, but Bel (and her Beast) will connect them all, her story ending on small cliffhangers in each book.

Here’s what we loved the most in the month of May! Jessica is stuck in the Blue Moon romcom series by Lucy Score, so much so that she wants to live there! The Last Second Chance is her pick. Taylor has been so obsessed with Jack Whitney, she could not wait to get her hands on Chaos, a Young Decay novel. Needless to say, she loved it so much that we had to make it our podcast pick! Rock on🎸Tina had such a good reading month that she had a hard time picking her fav! A Fellowship of Bakers and Magic by J. Penney was the perfect cozy fantasy that she still thinks about, so it had to be mentioned.

April Reads🌷
Here’s what we loved the most in the month of April! Tina forced Jessica to read Done and Dusted by Lyla Sage, and boy is she glad she did. Howdy partner, we in our cowboy era, YEEHAWW 🤠🐴 Tina read Grove Hollow Metamorphosis by Shelby McFadden and loved it! 80s paranormal romance? That’s all she needed to know. Cue her love for David Bowie* Taylor has been busy typing her fingers as fast as she can to get her new book down and drafted! We eagerly await the next Taylor Wilson-West masterpiece!

March Reads☘️
Here’s what we loved in the month of March! Tina read her Fairyloot copy of The Crimson Moth and is eagerly awaiting book 2; cliff hangers are upsetting, but in a good way. Taylor read Dungeons and Drama and she thought this book was so sweet and so much fun! (She’s our very own dungeon master!) And Jess, well she devoured the whole series of The Inheritance Games in like four days, but who can blame her!

Unfortunately this month was a bust for us. With vacations, Taylor’s DEBUT NOVEL, and many birthdays we just couldn’t swing it.
However! We already have our book for September picked out! Who’s excited??
We had the absolute honor of reading ’s newest novel The Atlas of Us, and it’s unanimous, we loved it!
