Starting 2024 with a big change! Why would a filmmaker pay submission fees with no guarantee that his film would be accepted and get anything in return? Just because that‘s how the film system always worked? This system makes total sense from an organisation‘s point of view who needs to earn money and control the flood of submissions, but we don‘t think this is filmmaker friendly. At Klipist we always try to be filmmaker friendly first and had a discussion: shouldn’t filmmakers only pay for a service if they actually receive a service? Yes. So from today, all submissions to Klipist are free, and only if a film is accepted, there is the fee for the filmmaker. The gates of Klipist are now open, let the submission flooding begin!

With this video we launched the new Klipist platform 3.0 exactly one month ago! It's the third time we reprogrammed the platform from scratch since launching Klipist 1.5 years ago. The goal is always the same: to bring us one tiny step closer of becoming the Netflix of Short Films. Since launching Klipist, we never stopped optimising our streaming service: every single detail, every film and every line of code, is thought-out and constantly questioned. And third time lucky - with launching version 3.0 we finally hit some kind of jackpot!

Within this first month we've become a top player in the worldwide rankings for short film streaming platforms: for the biggest search terms our Google position has moved from around rank 300 to rank... drumroll... 3! We are one of the top 3! Anyone wanting to watch short films online, will now see us right at the top of Google with the big players. Shoutout to our SEO queen Rhr and the team McDonald-Kelly, Stratieva and Moore for making Klipist look good, be found, enjoyed and celebrated 🙌

We are looking forward to the future. Check out the new platform now for free on: www.klipist.com

Yours,
Philip (Director)

🚨 Midweek Launch announcement! 🚨

RETCH (4mins) A visceral horror rollercoaster in which a young woman’s illness takes a disturbing turn.

It’s the type of horror you can barely stand to watch what is happening, but you can’t wait to see what’s next…

RETCH won 'Best Horror' at the Cinefantasy Festival in 2019 and toured globally including London Short Film Festival, Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival and Motel X.

Streaming now on Klipist.com

The amazing, beautiful and talented creators of RETCH are excited to be launching into their debut horror feature film KILL YOUR LOVER!
A cross between the body horror of 'The Fly' and the heart-wrenching drama of 'Blue Valentine' - with a dose of punk edge!

Check out their whacky Greenlit campaign video and cool perks on: www.greenlit.com/project/kill-your-lover

Alix and Keir are a horror-obsessed husband and wife team and will be tackling the full breadth of a *literally* toxic relationship in KILL YOUR LOVER: the good, the bad and the downright ugly. The film will feature tense horror sequences, heartbreaking interpersonal drama and creative kills alike.

COMING SOON - It’s 8pm on a Thursday evening during lockdown and the Clap for Carers is about to begin. Two neighbours battle it out to be the loudest, most grateful and most virtuous residents on the street - until someone finally calls them out. Will they swallow their pride and apologise, or will they silence the upstart who’s dared to embarrass them?

"Thank You So Much" is a short, satirical film that searches for the line between encouraging virtue and enforcing submission in pandemic Britain. It won 's People's Film Festival's award for Best Comedy, and we're very excited to announce that it's coming to Klipist next Wednesday!

"Thank You So Much" (), is directed by and produced by and .

Just a few days left to submit your short film to Kino London's People's Film Festival, proudly sponsored by Klipist 😉
Categories are based on budget, so it's fair competition - and the winning filmmaker gets a £1,000 film fund!

This Friday is your last day to submit your short film (20 minutes or under) to The People's Film Festival for your chance to win our our £1000 Film Fund: filmfreeway.com/KinoLondon

What makes our festival different?
✔️Each and every filmmaker that submits to our festival gets FEEDBACK regardless if they win or not.
✔️Our categories are based on BUDGET, so micro-shorts don't have to compete with fully funded films.
✔️We build into the winning filmmaker's future by funding their next project with our £1,000 FILM FUND.

Our festival will be held April 2 - 9th, 2022 as a hybrid event with both in-person screenings in London and a showcase streaming online.

Taking a team picture, how it really went vs. what we're posting on LinkedIn.

Can you believe that last week was the first time the Klipist team met in person, since our very first meeting 10 months ago? (That's what happens when you start a company during a pandemic...) Only the brilliant Josh Moore was missing - until next time! ❤️

We also met some of you who follow us in person, it was great to speak with you guys, your support and feedback means so much to us! Keep spreading the word about Klipist 😉🤞
