Finally completed! Episode 2 is "Where the Wind Blows", the story of Cabazon, California. This is a unique episode, it's actually the first one we filmed and we had several difficulties in doing so. We just got our camera so we were learning the mechanics of it, and also dealing with technical issues with the memory card.
This will be one of the only episodes ever that nobody met with us to help tell the story. We came during a horribly hot time and right when the 'rona was all the rage again so we understand. We also booked a stay at the Morongo only to be told we couldn't stay with Violet, so the Morongo didn't make it into the video in the way we planned.
That said, we told the story the best we could and I think all things considered it turned out better then we expected it to be. The people of Cabazon contributed a lot in their posts, suggestions, documents, and photos so we were happy to have that involvement even if no one met with us. In addition being this was our first time shooting, with no videos to show for ourselves it's understandable why taking a risk on some out of towners coming from a covid-heavy area didn't have high appeal!
Still, I think we told the story the best we could and as a mercy to everyone we kept it shorter then intended so you hopefully don't get as sick of my voice as I am right now. We edited this entire thing in two days! I'm exhausted, and we hope you enjoy this episode.
