Our newest release: Kelly Einbinder’s Music For Stuck Bodies.

This is self taught pianist ‘s first album. Recorded in a single take at The San Diego Music And Art Company, Kelly’s virtuosic and energetic take on minimalism flows organically from thought to thought throughout her 60 minute improvisation.

We are very excited for the upcoming single take solo piano album, Music For Stuck Bodies. Both the album and video will premiere on April 9th.

Kelly Einbinder is a self-taught improvisational musician. Having no prior experience, Kelly began tinkering on public pianos in her college dorm at 18. In the following weeks, she began to practice 3 to 4 hours per day.

From the ages of 25 to 28 Kelly’s health significantly declined both physically and mentally leaving her unable to do any of the things her life was anchored by: art, music, chess, dance, and community.

The piano is Kelly's refuge from a quality of life greatly diminished by chronic illness. She plays explicitly for the process, where flow state and catharsis meet. Even though Kelly continues experiencing debilitating illness, she would quite literally crawl out of bed in order to access her instrument. After three and a half years of devoting her life to music and art, Kelly’s visibility has increased via Instagram. On April 9th, Kelly will release a single take improvisational album through Moonquake Records that will be available as video on YouTube, and in audio form on all major streaming services.

Ed is an excellent jazz pianist and session player with a large and versatile harmonic language that is employed with a natural ease and technical adeptness that comes from thousands of hours of gigging. With constant harmonic trajectories, short phrases are carried to interesting and unique points while maintaining fluid compositional frameworks.
