Last day of registration for Ride for Valor! Here are some tips to help you finish your goal!
Araw ng Kagitingan is almost here and we’re already so excited to bike and Ride for Valor this April 9!
Cycle through the historical 160-km Death March or choose certain segments only if you want a quick and easier challenge. Whatever goal you set for yourself, here are some tips to help you reach your target!
Stay hydrated. Make sure to pack a water bottle before heading out. Refill at designated water stations or pitstops.
Stay fueled. Given how much cycling can burn calories, try to eat a cereal bar every 30 minutes.
Take a break if your body needs to. This is a non-competitive event. Pedal at the pace you can. Stop and rest if you feel you need to
Have fun! Cycling with a community can help foster solidarity, plus it’s a fun way to meet and make new friends and make the ride light.
Enjoy the tour! No bike ride is too far when you’re enjoying the tour. Take solo snapshots at historical sites, video the highlights of your ride, or do a quick TikTok dance with family or friends in between pitstops.
Ride for Valor is a fun bike tour through history for families and friends. The event is hosted by Philippine Veterans Bank to honor Filipino heroes of WWII especially those who died on the Death March. The proceeds will help raise funds for the maintenance of WWII heritage sites.
