Mumbai wine lovers,
Grover Zampa has launched five new wines.

Signet Spectrum: This dry red wine is fermented and aged for 12 months in concrete egg-shaped tanks. The aroma is concentrated, and dense in fruity fragrance with nascent figs and bergamot. A powerful mouthfeel that comes alive with liquorice and almond notes which, on aging, evolves into a delectable note of dusted leather and venison.
Signet Shiraz (Amphora): Fermented and aged for 12 months in terracotta clay Amphora, this red wine runs a deep garnet red. The porous structure of terracotta clay allows micro-oxygenation which helps to soften the tannins, giving the wine a deep and rich structure, without additional flavours.

Signet Shiraz (2L Foudre): A well-balanced wine with soft tannins and a medium body, slightly oaky finish with a sublime ending palate. Fermented for 12 months in 2000 litres French oak foudre, this wine emits the strong varietal characteristics of a Shiraz - black berry, black cherry, pepper, and to***co.

Signet Shiraz (1L Foudre): It has hints of French oak notes of cinnamon and vanilla. It leaves hints of fruit and beautiful resinous pepper on the finish. Fermented for 12 months in 1000-litre French oak foudre.

Signet Shiraz (24 months French Barriques):Matured in 225 litres French oak barrels for 24 months and 12 months in a bottle, this dry red delivers rich aromas of red berry, prune, vanilla, to***co, and hints of violet that mingle elegantly giving a leathery character and a deep level of complexity.

We had a rather trying Diwali. The crackers unsettled Khal and they kept going until 1 am.

Anywho, we did have some moments of relief and we tried to make the most of it.

I kept my eye infection and Khal's fever aside to be with these girls and rock some garba numbers.

Their enthusiasm, innocence and laughter is contagious. They helped me forget all my worries. I am recharged.

Can't thank .kirtania enough for the awesome, dancing Navratri it has been this far - teaching, grooving and judging.

In sub-zero degree, in the midst of a misty lake in a boat, wearing four layers of woolens, we caught the once-in-a-lifetime (hoping for more, of course) Auroras/Celestial Lights/Fire of the Foxes or the Northern Lights. They say the Universe really has to conspire, and three days before your visit, for you to see these surreal things.
1. The activities on the sun
2. Clear sky
3. The right time of the night
4. Your timing of the trip and
5. And the weather

Yet, you know what was better? The crescent moon (scroll right), our own Chanda mama. For the very first time in my life, it was at the eye level. Touching it seemed a real possibility.

It was not that distant, white dot in the sky that the hearts in love pine for. I wonder what would the lyrics of all our Bollywood 'Chand' songs - Chandare kabhi to zamin pe aa or the classic Chanda mama door the be if the lyricists saw them the way I did last night?

Went foraging in Helsinki's Central Park today. It's more like a forest.

Picked up and ate berries, leaves, plums, apples, was stung by nettle leaves (but no complaints as I refused the gloves) and had a wonderful time learning about the wild foods in Finland from

Foraging is a Finnish tradition. Anna's mom and grandmother would both forage in summer, made jams and pickles and savoured it in the winters

Anna left her decade-long job to follow her ancestors' footsteps. Also, foraging ingredients and selling them is a tax-free business in India and everyone is allowed to forage.
