Bloom in Crisis is the embodiment of hope — it is a belief, a practice, a state of being that empowers you to skillfully regulate emotions, build spiritual resilience, enhance self-awareness, unleash the potential of your mind, foster a grateful heart, cultivate joy, nurture positive energy, promote inner peace, grow self-compassion and compassion for others, embrace the present moment, derive wis

dom from introspection, transform pain into grace, recognize positive possibilities even in adversity, and actively shape your narrative, ultimately leading to a happy and fulfilled life (with a touch of style!)

Knowing deeply how painful and lonely it is to go through incredibly hard times alone, Zip Nguyen has a profound empathy and compassion for people who are going through it. She started blogging when the pandemic started in March 2020 and later on released Bloom in Crisis podcast and YouTube channel, with a mission to give back as much as she can in her lifetime, and create a global community where everyone from different cultures, generations, and backgrounds overcome tough times together, learn, and uplift each other through the power of authentic storytelling, cross-learning, and sharing pragmatic guidance. While the main language of both the website and the podcast is English, Zip also wants to use her platforms to bring Vietnamese voices and conversations to the world while connecting with the Vietnamese community, so there are also content written and episodes spoken in Vietnamese, Zip's native language. Believing that everyone can 'bloom in crisis' and having a deep desire to help others internalize this for themselves, Zip founded Bloom in Crisis to share how she practices it and what she's learned throughout her journey.

🌟 Get to know other in our team! 🌟

As we continue celebrating Women's History Month, we’re proud to introduce two notably competent female members on our team: Huong Nguyen and Jenny Tu. Their creativity, resilience, and strong work ethic are forces to reckon with! 💪

Huong's journey with Bloom in Crisis began with a serendipitous encounter at a hot yoga studio in New York City, where she instantly felt connected with Zip's raw authenticity and passion for storytelling in service of others. For Jenny, her introduction to Bloom in Crisis came through an inspiring conversation with Zip at an event at Fordham University, where she was drawn to help share stories of overcoming challenges and embracing growth.

Their decision to join Bloom in Crisis isn’t merely about seizing an opportunity; it’s about creating a chance to learn, enhance their abilities, and make meaningful contributions to a cause they deeply believe in.

🎉 Welcome to our new series, 'Grow with Zip,' where we dive into the insightful conversations Zip Nguyen has with students and young professionals! 🎉

✍️ In Zip's own words: "As someone who's constantly seeking growth and improvement, I see myself as constantly evolving on my journey rather than having reached a destination. And as I continue to learn and grow, I simply want to offer my perspective and share what I've discovered with others... who knows, perhaps someone else may benefit from it, too 👩🏻‍🏫"

🌟 Special thanks to professor Kate Kennon and all the students in her Business Communication class at Fordham University who joined the meeting ❤️

Why establishing these guiding principles is important to us?

We may come together from different walks of life and share different points of view, but everything we do and publish has to embody these 13 guiding principles, which also stand for Bloom in Crisis. It’s our culture, our core values, and our offering to the world that make us who we are.

It’s also our promise to you: what you see here is what you get from us. Welcome to our community, and we hope you can feel it too 🤗❤️

Let’s take time to congratulate our podcast host, who works hard to make sure people’s voices are heard.

Zip was invited to the UN on the occasion of the Vietnamese 78th national day and 46th year membership with the UN.

During this opportunity she talked to many important representatives to discuss how to make Vietnamese people’s voices more heard.

This invitation shows how if you truly work hard enough and care enough about something people will recognize it and want to discuss it with you.

Moving is a challenge that usually brings fear and sadness since we are leaving a comfortable routine behind. Yet it also allows you to find new things and be able to display your space in a way that feels more "you".
This week I moved and finally took down some outdated posters and put up a little patch of green instead. Something more me and which makes me so happy.
So next time you have to move, be excited about the new ideas that will emerge.

Hi everyone! As Bloom in Crisis is starting up again I’ve come onto the team to help Zip with social media!
My name is Alyssia, I’m an international student from Belgium but have lived in several countries giving me some really fun experiences and the ability to bloom in different crises periods. From US middle school popularity drama to more politically charged issues in Thailand and Egypt it’s been an experience.
I’m so excited to join this new chapter of the podcast and please let me know if you want something to change to help the podcast or to share your own stories 😊
