In the Celtic calendar, the first day of summer was Beltane or May 1. It was celebrated with bonfires and a variety of practices to ensure a good agricultural year. For example, three pieces of coal were placed under churns to prevent fairies from stealing the butter and the horns of cattle were decorated with flowers for good luck. So, in honor of Beltane, I'm holding a sale on Jack and the Hollow Hill (Book 1) and Jack and the Giant's Bargain (Book 2) before Book 3, Jack and the Jarl's Plea, comes out in September. You can find them on Amazon and on my website, www.ballykillarneyhouse.com. I hope you enjoy!
