Welcome to my little corner of the internet.❤️

Hey I’m Georgie, I’m 26 and on a journey to live mindfully and at my own pace. I love exploring new places and drawing/painting my memories of where I’ve been. 🫶🏻

Being creative is an integral part of my life that has been an outlet for self-expression. I am also neuro-diverse which has added a richness to my journey.🥰

6 months ago I started an online business in network marketing, within a global online community; teaching others how to claim back time through automation.

LET’S TALK DREAMS & CELEBRATING SMALL WINS✨

You don’t have to think on a grand scale when you start working towards your dreams. Sometimes it’s more useful to think about what’s currently in reach for you right now and then later focus on the long-term vision.

Celebrating small wins whilst working towards your long term goals/ dreams helps build your self-belief and gives you resilience for days when it’s an uphill incline.🧗‍♀️

One way of doing this is by making time for reflection and reward, like writing gratitude notes to yourself, spending time doing a hobbie; or treating yourself to something from your wish list.🛍️

Whatever you choose to do, make sure you are celebrating your progress, so you have the confidence to continue seeing there bigger picture.🌠

HELLOOO✨

I’ve had a few new people follow me recently and so thought it would be a chance to re-introduce myself.💕

I’m Georgie, a 25 year old introvert just trying to navigate the emotional rollercoaster of being in your 20’s.🙃

I went into the government, specifically Human Resources because I wanted to use my people skills and work my way up through my managerial CIPD qualifications.

I quickly realised that it was more policy than people-oriented, so I did a lil pivot.😝

I started an online business just a few months ago after experiencing neurodivergent burnout from being in a role that drained me.

I realised how much I wanted to travel the world and create true time freedom that wasn’t dictated to me by an alarm clock. ⏰
So here I am building this a day at a time, with the support of an amazing partner.✨

Unlike many people I don’t share a close relationship with my dad but we will always love and respect each other regardless.

Recently, we met up after he flew home for a week on a business trip and we talked about carving out our own paths in life.
Paths that may not be congruent to past/lived experiences but following your heart and trying it anyway.
Never giving up and not feeling shame for when you fail, but giving yourself praise for doing it afraid. 💕

Realising that it doesn’t matter because you don’t need to have it figured out. To allow yourself to cry when you’re struggling, but choosing to pick yourself back up and put a plan in place to counteract those feelings by setting intentions. ✨

I came away with a few myself:

I will be mindful of self-limiting beliefs
I will embrace change
I will nourish and protect my inner child

Let this be an encouragement to set yourself intentions for when the path gets rough.❤️

A healthy mindset is something we practice everyday and it’s worth remembering our WHY, so that we can create clarity- so that we can truly identify and move towards our dreams, goals and future.

You also need to learn to have courage to take action on your WHY, to stay focused.
Finally, be compassionate to yourself when your work towards your goals doesn’t reap the results or look like how you might have envisioned it. It doesn’t happen overnight, it’s a process; so stick to it.💪🏻✨

How many times have we said the above to ourselves?

The truth is, the fear of failure has been deeply ingrained into our minds, since school where we were measured purely on performance. It is an unhealthy thought pattern to carry.

I know that starting this business was scary
and I feared failure; after years of failure in education. However, I re-wired my thinking to ‘this is where I am, and I’m already seeing the small progress I have made.’ ❤️

Are you living out someone else’s dream in survival mode?

Survival mode is the term for continuous, unresolved stress, to the degree that a person is unable to rest or relax and your brain remains overactive.

Many people normalise this way of operating when they live with it long term.

What purpose does it serve to work a job for 35-40 years in this state of extreme stress and anxiety for someone else’s gain?

Nothing. It only compounds further stress and potential chronic illnesses. Work isn’t meant to be a space to just survive but rather thrive.✨

Let this be your sign to put yourself and your needs first and start living the life you desire.

What is something that you’re grateful for right now?

What’s that one thing that is making you smile, despite what life is throwing at you?

For me, it’s the small things. The peace and solitude of the outdoors, the conversations with close friends, the heart-warming cup of tea before bed; and the knowledge that I am still finding the strength to show up for myself at my own pace.

Lets talk about oversharing.

Without realising it, oversharing can be one of the ways that you drain yourself of energy, trying to receive validation and understanding from someone. It could be a friend or family member.

I never revealed to my family that I started this business, because I knew it would only fuel the fears my family had for me. I knew I needed to preserve my self-belief.

Sometimes, the less you reveal to people, the better. It allows you to not only protect yourself, but it also means you are not taking on/managing the fears of others. Its not about isolating yourself, but being mindful of what you are sharing and with who.

Do you feel guilty if you don't achieve what you hoped you would in a day?

Toxic productivity is an easy trap to fall into. It is the drive to produce, whilst neglecting other important aspects of our lives, such as rest and is rife in the corporate world. We tend to value productivity over everything else, but it is worth remembering that without rest, we can't bring our best selves to the table.

So instead of 'I had an unproductive day', how about saying 'I took time out to recharge and enjoy myself.'💓

‘I don’t have the time’

‘I feel like a failure’

I have lost count of the amount of times I have told myself these lies. Truth is none of them are a reflection of me and it’s about realising that you have so much more to offer than you think.

Flip the script. Feeling like a failure is natural but it’s a false belief system. Ultimately you are good enough, you have the intelligence and time. You belong here.✨✨

If we’re honest we all want to have a guarantee that the choices and paths we take lead to success, right?

Unfortunately, there is no certainty and it’s about learning how we effectively ground ourselves for those days when we feel exhausted and want to give up! Grounding techniques can look different for everyone- for me it’s through mindfulness, regular prayer and time with God.

For others, it could be taking a walk in nature, exercising, listening to an inspiring podcast or just having a heart to heart with a close friend.❤️ Whatever you choose to do, remember that these grounding techniques are growth-provoking and give you the momentum to keep going.💪🏻🥰

No-one care that you failed your GCSE Maths numerous times, it doesn’t define your worth. Or that you worked hard at the wrong degree, only to find the right one in the end. ❤️

It’s okay that you’re not wholly inspired by your job in central government because you know that you’re working towards something far better.

I encourage you to imagine talking to your younger self and sharing that gratitude for where you are currently, because you get to see how much you have grown.✨

Inner Child Affirmations- did you know we all have an inner child inside?✨

Everyone has an inner child, it holds our emotions, memories and beliefs from the past. It also helps shape our thoughts and dreams for the future. 👧👦

Being kind and nurturing to that part of us is so important as we go through life.
As we get older, we tend to disconnect from our inner child, primarily through the stresses of adulthood- work, financial obligations and relationships.

Mindfulness can be one of the ways that we connect with that part. Some affirmations that really help:

✨My needs and feelings are valid
✨I show myself compassion
✨I am loved
✨I deserve joy
✨I am in control of my feelings

A fresh start isn't always a new place. It's a mindset shift that forces us outside of our comfort zones and encourages us to push to be the best version of ourselves. What do you like to do to recharge?

What is that one things that nourishes your tired body/mind?

For me, I love taking walks in nature, where I can escape the hustle and bustle of life; even if it’s only for a brief moment. It is proven that spending time in nature increases the serotonin chemical in our bodies. This boost helps to create a positive re-framing of our thought patterns, increase focus and emotional self-regulation.

On the other hand, a depletion of serotonin is often caused by prolonged periods of stress and fatigue, so it’s important that we take care of ourselves.

What do you think self-sabotage looks like?

It can happen when we don't realise it, but it actually prevents us from accomplishing our goals and has a negative impact on our mental health. Be mindful of any triggers and identify any patterns of behaviours, so you can begin to show yourself some compassion. That way you can become more comfortable when things like fear of failure or rejection arise. ☺
