Geneva Wilderness Area Hike

Today we went to a new place to go for a nature walk-the Lake Geneva Wilderness Area. (Thanks All Trails!) ⛰⛺️ We saw a doe! I wasn't recording, but she snorted at us from some brush on the side of the trail, and out she bounded a few moments later, letting us know that she didn't appreciate us being near! 😆 This place was pretty structured-there was a campsite, an immaculate smoker and grill, a dinosaur exhibit for kids and a designated firefighting station, a structured fire pit, and lots of benches and trail markers with wildlife info. The largest parts of the trail were underwater, however, 😢so we'll have to come back to fully explore the almost 3 miles of trails and bush. We stopped at the local Oviedo Townhouse Restaurant to grab lunch-Chris had a burger and I had a wonderful special-a house salad, soup of the day, and biscuit combo. It was the first time I'd heard of that trio-but we left feeling full and satisfied-before hitting the gym 😤💪 All in all, a good day of exercise and nature!

Black Bear Wilderness-Gator Time!

We went to the Black Bear Wilderness Park today! It's one of the few hiking trails in the otherwise flat Florida area where we live-a 7 mile trail that takes about 3 hours to complete, full of gators, wildlife, and a natural root system path that makes sure the trail isn't washed out by rain. 😅 We had a great time today! #nature #hiking

Pineapple Bowls-No Pineapple (Nerdgrits Nibbles)

For the holidays Jenn's gave us a very cute Pineapple, so we wanted to use him in a recipe before the pineapple went bad. 🍍 Well, after getting the ingredients at the store and getting ready to cook-the pineapple went bad. 😭 But! We went ahead and made the recipe anyway-missing just one ingredient. 😅 Sometimes, you just have to make do. Have you ever had to substitute an integral recipe in the kitchen?
