North Africa Media Academy - NAMA NAMA offers tailor-made trainings to meet the needs and aspirations of journalists across the Middle East and North Africa.

We see the new challenges presented by the digitization of the media sector as an opportunity to innovate in the field of media. Our media training model is created in line with the latest innovations in the sector. All of our trainings are carefully designed to meet the specific needs of our diverse partners – independent journalists, editors, media houses and civil society organizations working

in highly diverse and challenging environments across the region. The training model follows a three-step process that is comprised of a research phase, the training workshops and a content production phase. All of our trainings are designed and implemented by a team of leading, highly skilled journalists from across the region that are in tune with the realities on the ground. They follow a knowledge-based approach and use state-of-the-art technologies to implement trainings on topics that include audiovisual production, digital security, social media, online publishing and a range of specialized technical skills. we work with experts to conduct research on media and communications across politically and socially sensitive environments in the target communities. Through our applied course design and standards of sector excellence, we create spaces for media professionals from across the region to connect, share best practices, publish and innovate.
