We have had batteries floating around different drawers and cabinets in our house so I knew I wanted to find something to store them in that was more organized and I could easily find what we need.
Comment “battery” and I’ll DM you the link for this battery organizer!
This organizer fits everything we need and I love how easy it is to access. I also really like the shape of this container. It fits perfectly in a cabinet in our laundry room without taking up much space. It has spots for batteries on the front and the back and there’s plenty of room for all the different kinds of batteries.

I love finding super easy ways to make holidays a little extra special. Rice Krispie treats are such an easy thing to make into a holiday treat! I added Easter sprinkles and then used cookie cutters to make Easter shapes like a bunny, an Easter egg, a carrot, and a flower.
Recipe:
6 cups rice krispie cereal
6 Tbs salted butter
16 oz bag of mini marshmallows, divided
1 tsp of vanilla extract
Easter sprinkles
Instructions:
Melt butter over medium heat. Once melted, save 1 cup of marshmallows to the side and add in the rest of the bag. Stir until fully melted. Take off heat, add in vanilla, and stir until combined. Add in rice krispie cereal and the remaining marshmallows. Stir until mixed. Add in sprinkles and mix.
Pour the mixture onto a wax paper lined baking sheet. Use a small square of wax paper to press it down to form an even layer.
*Allow it to cool for about an hour before cutting out your shapes with cookie cutters. (if you don’t wait, it will stick to the cookie cutters and make a mess- learn from my mistake 😂)
This is such a fun and easy Easter treat!

This magnetic tiles race car track set has quickly become a favorite toy around here.
Comment ‘ link ’ and I’ll DM you the link for this storage container and the magnetic tile race car set!
We actually had two boxes of them- because our original 30 piece was just not enough for all of our designs. But the boxes were just not a great way to store them. I got this bin and it’s perfect! I love bins that have two layers like this to help keep things organized! It’s easier to pull out what we need and to put things away when we’re done.
This is definitely a toy that keeps my girls busy for a long time. It’s so creative and there’s endless things you can do with them! Austin and I actually enjoy them as much as the kids do! It’s a fun activity to all do together!

A big part of decluttering my home has also been finding better ways to organize and store things. It makes such a big difference in being able to maintain the space I decluttered.
Comment “ favorite “ and I’ll DM you the link for all of my decluttering and organizing favorites!
Most of the bins I use are the CityLife brand from Amazon. They have so many different shapes and sizes. My favorites are the ones that also have special organization for different things. The bins that have two layers with a tray on top and more storage below are my favorite right now. I’ve used these for legos and play dough but you could use them for so many things! And the bin with 6 removable compartments is so great for art utensils!
A label maker is a must for organizing. This one was an upgrade for me from one I lost a few months ago. It’s been amazing!
Acrylic drawer organizers are also such a staple for me. I use them in so many drawers in our house to keep us organized and to help minimize clutter for happening.

Emily and I made an Easter bunny cookie cake today. It was so fun and really simple! This would be perfect for an activity to do with your kids or to be a dessert for your Easter celebration!
Here’s what you need:
- cookie dough
- bunny cake pan
- Easter M&M’s
- Frosting
Scoop the cookie dough into a greased pan. Press down into an even layer. Add M&M’s to the top before baking at 350 for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. Let cool and add frosting to the top!

Our current favorite is doing taco salads with this chicken. But you can also use it to make regular tacos, its perfect to eat with some tortilla chips, or you could do a rice bowl with it. It’s just such a good base that you can use in so many ways. I love to make a big batch and then we can enjoy it for leftovers too!
Ingredients:

When we got married, I discovered I actually had no idea how to clean. There was so much that my mom did that I just never realized and never learned. So I’ve had a lot to learn over the last 12 years. One thing I avoided was cleaning my washing machine. For awhile, it was because I didn’t know you were supposed to be cleaning it, but then when I realized you were supposed to, I didn’t because it overwhelmed me so I just didn’t.
About two years ago, we got a front loader washer and not cleaning it became not an option. So I did some research and this is the routine I came up with.
I use the @lemishine washing machine cleaner and wipes. When I was figuring out how to clean my washer, I found these and they’re so simple and convenient and they also work really well! I also love this electronic brush from Amazon. It works so well to clean in all the little spaces.
About once a month, I do this routine and it’s so simple and effective!

Anyone else struggle to slow down and allow your little ones to be a part of your daily tasks? I love how much they want to help but sometimes it’s a struggle for me when I just want to do it myself so I can do it quickly and the way I want to 😂
But I decided that teaching my girls how to take care of their rooms and help in cleaning our home is so important. So it’s becoming a big focus for me right now. I want them to feel capable and have responsibilities so they’re prepared as they grow up. It’s also encouraging me to slow down and be more intentional in my time with them.

Her little ‘We did it’ 🥹 Love resetting our house for the new week. I’ve been working on getting both of my girls involved in my resets as well, especially in their rooms. Anna is 2 1/2 and loves to clean up so she was really into this today. And there’s nothing better than starting the week with a freshly stocked and clean room!

Decluttering baby clothes is so hard! I'm so attached to all of these sweet outfits! But knowing that what we donated will go to mamas and babies that need them makes it so much easier. And I kept all of our favorites in case we have another. I also put a few in each one of my girls' memory boxes like their going-home from the hospital outfits and other special clothes. #declutter #decluttering #declutteryourhome

One of my biggest goals this year is to be more proactive in every area of my life. I have been feeling like I’m always behind and trying to catch up or keep up with everything. So I really want to find more ways to be proactive and thinking ahead to help myself in the future. I really want to be more prepared for things.
Honestly, it feels like as a mama, if you aren’t ahead of things, then there’s no way to even just be on time and you end up behind.
So even taking small steps like organizing crafts and coloring supplies for my girls, feels like such a win for me. I know every time I need these things, I’m able to find them easily now.
I’m trying to use the same mindset in other areas like cleaning our house. I’m trying to stay on a proactive schedule so I’m constantly keeping our house clean instead of having to do a last minute stress clean before someone comes over.
It’s going to be a proactive instead of a reactive year over here!

Comment “ game “ and I’ll DM you the link for the bags I used to organize our board games!
We have always loved board games in my family. Emily is just getting to an age where she loves them too! We have gotten a few and been given a number of games as well for kids and our collection is actually pretty big now. Which I love! It’s definitely something I don’t mind having a number of! But storing board games can really take a lot of space!
I was hoping to keep everything condensed to one bin for kids’ games. So I decided to take some of them out of the box and put them in mesh bags. Some of the games were better off kept in their original boxes so I left those. But I was happy to be able to condense everything down into one bin!

Does everyone get overwhelmed with mail and paper clutter?
Comment “ mail “ and I’ll DM you the link for our mail organizer!
Mail is such a struggle in our house. I’m hoping having a good system in place is going to make a big difference. I really like the mail organizer I got a few years ago, I just didn’t have a good system planned out with it.
As I’ve been decluttering our home, I’ve learned the importance of having good, solid systems in place to maintain the decluttering. Now that this mail organizer is cleared out and I really thought through a good system for when the mail comes in, I think I have a good chance of maintaining it! So as soon as mail comes through the door, I toss the junk and file the other things accordingly in the organizer. Then once a week, I will go through and do whatever is needed- filing the things that need to be filed, paying a bill, etc. to keep the organizer from getting cluttered. I’m excited to see how this system works for us!

I planned out my decluttering for February today.
Comment “ declutter “ and I’ll DM you the link for my Decluttering Guide that I use to plan out my decluttering.
I love thinking through the month and planning out what I’m hoping to accomplish in our home. There are a few areas I’m really hoping to tackle, but my top goals are decluttering the rest of our garage and our master closet.
I broke all my rooms down into small areas that will take about 15-30 minutes. My goal is to declutter one small area a day that doesn’t take long and can be accomplished from start to finish. By doing one a day, I continue to make progress and will eventually declutter the room I’m working on without getting overwhelmed.

We’ve been using a reusable shopping bag as our tool box for way too long. This was such a small and simple change that I’m really going to appreciate in our home.
It’s a goal of mine to start working through those minor problems that I tend to put off because they’re not a crazy big deal so it’s easy to not deal with them, but really it wouldn’t take much effort to just handle them so life will be a little easier and happier.
I was listening to a podcast awhile ago and there was something she said something about taking care of small things that are an inconvenience or making your life harder. Basically, if there is something that is really not working and the fix for it will only take a few minutes or a few dollars and it would make a big impact for you, you should make the change.
I’ve been trying to put that mindset into action in so many areas of life, from things around our home to routines that I have in place that need tweaking. If something really isn’t working and I can take a small action to change it, I’m going to do it instead of putting it off and continuing to deal with it.

Decluttered our mail organizer today. I honestly didn’t have the best system going with our mail. I had hung this up like a year ago and never used it well. We still always had piles of mail on our entry table and kitchen island. And somehow this organizer got filled with a lot of random stuff.
I went through and got rid of so much that we didn’t need. The other day I went through the few stacks of mail we had throughout the house, so I really just needed to clear this out. Then I used labels to set up a few categories- To File, To Pay, Take Action, Tax Documents, and Coupons.
My goal with this system is to immediately go through the mail as it comes in each day and get rid of whatever we don’t need/junk mail. Then I will categorize them based on these categories. Then once a week, I will do whatever is needed- filing, paying bills, etc. I also love having the bottom part of this organizer for stationary supplies like envelopes and stamps. It’s good to have a place that I know where these things are easily.
