Last night, our beloved fur baby, ChooChoo, suffered a massive stroke. My husband quickly performed CPR for 5 minutes, but when there was no response, we rushed her to the vet just 2 minutes away. The vet team inserted a breathing tube, sedated her, and took X-rays, only to discover fluid in her lungs and a heart murmur.
To our relief, ChooChoo started breathing without the assistance of oxygen, which meant she didn't need to be admitted to the ICU. Currently, she can't stand but is resting comfortably on me, taking antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medications.
We're so grateful for any prayers and support for ChooChoo, who will be turning 14 in May. She's already overcome numerous seizures and a femoral removal when she was just 3 years old. Our strong and resilient fur baby has always managed to bounce back, and we're hopeful for her recovery this time as well. Thank you all for taking the time to read this and for sending your positive thoughts our way. 🙏🐾❤️
