[Breaking News]
It is alleged that a scholar transportation left behind 11 learners of Mohlakamotala after school who are doing Grade 10.

The learners said they were held in the classroom on their last period and when they went to where their taxis parks, all the taxis were gone.

They asked for help which they didn't get, so with painful hearts, they had no choice but to walk 26KM from the school to Vaalwater.

They were seen walking passed Tweestroom T-junction at around 15:15pm today and amongst those learners, there's one that's gravid according to an eyewitness.

"We have no choice but to walk because we have no money for transportation. We have tried everything but there's no hope."

We have no news whether they were able to find a lift on the road or not or where they are at this stage.

It is alleged that, when the food parcels were distributed last year on the 23rd of December, they were unfairly distributed. Some residents said that the food parcels given were little and they were distributed based on preference.

"I received two potatoes, not the full bag, 1KG Samp, one carrot, one onion and one tin of beans. We were told to either take that or just a single 12.5KG Maize Meal bag. We are grateful for what Makgobathe Security is doing for our communities."

Residents say it could have been better if the mayor was present on the day of food parcels distribution at Serings street.

[BREAKING NEWS]-20- 12-2022

It is alleged that our incompetent municipality has cut off electricity in most of the houses in Leseding today because they owe the municipality money which makes about R2M in total.

Bills of R180K have been issued to a lot residents who've failed to pay for the services like water, sewage and refusal removal.

Residents have to pay for the services that they go for days and sometimes weeks without getting those services. Sometimes the garbage truck does not come for three months but the residents are still billed fortunes.

60% of families aren't employed in Vaalwater but they have to pay so much for the services that they never get on time. About a week ago, Operation Phakama was recruiting 150 unemployed youth and there was over 300 people who were at the community hall looking for employment.

"We can pay we don’t have a problem until you fix this issues; iIllegal connections of electricity, potholes, Dilapidated infrastructure, street lights to function, management of municipality own vehicles to stop buying groceries on weekends, infrastructure development and others", commented one of Facebook users.

"The municipality must switch on our power or there'll be another massive strike. Yes they can switch off our water but we have been paying for our electricity non-stop."

The cry of the community of Mabane is yet to continue. Modimolle and other towns within the Modimolle-Mookgophong municipality are yet to be the victims of this.

So where will the unemployed families accumulate R120K for absurd bills when they only have Social Grant money for food and electricity? How are they going to survive when they can't even afford to buy firewood?

"It's time you rise against the corrupted incompetent leaders that we have in our municipality. No formal notice was given. The municipality never send us emails, sms or letters to let us know how much we owe each month", said one of Leseding residents.

MUNO PARK|- Djs Claims that event organiser scammed them(Local Djs) R35000 winning price.

Over the weekend at Muno Park (Mmaletswai) Djs were promised a R35000 winning price after competing.

It is alleged that event organiser and his colleagues rigged the results after realising that the crowed was chanting for some two famous Djs around Lephalale to be the winners fearing that they don’t have that amount of money to pay the winner if one of those 2 famous Djs around Lephalale becomes a winner of the competition.

So they made one of their friend to be the winner of the competition whereas the crowed didn’t even notice that Dj when he was playing. Now Local Djs played for free on that event. They feel betrayed.
