Motorists should begin planning now for a full weekend closure of eastbound and westbound I-40 between I-35 and Choctaw Rd. starting at 7 p.m. May 19 through 5:30 a.m. May 22, weather permitting. All eastbound and westbound I-40 traffic will be detoured during the closure to I-240.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE NEEDED:

On April 16th, at approximately 05:40 AM, a pedestrian was struck and killed in the eastbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike at the 180 mile marker near Stroud. Investigators believe it may have involved a 2015-2019 Subaru Legacy with significant damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle.
