From a source at the Bab Al-Hawa crossing at 11:12 p.m. Tuesday February 7th, Turkey/Syria time:

Not a single piece of aid has entered North-Western Syria so far, and the United Nations is not telling the truth.

According to the statement of the communication officer at the crossing point, only the bodies of the dead earthquake victims in Turkey are entering and no injured people have been allowed to pass from Syria to Turkey.

During our conversation with him, the crossing official falsified the UN statement, which claimed that the road to Bab al-Hawa crossing was damaged, (a statement used to justify the delay in the entry of aid into northwestern Syria). He also pointed out that the transport of bodies of the Syrian victims who died in Turkey were arriving uninterruptedly until the time this clarification was issued.

IMPORTANT & VERY URGENT

Northwest Syria is devastated, and it is already densely populated. Hundreds of buildings have been destroyed over the heads of its residents. Most of those houses were built during the war without the lowest standards of safety and earthquake prevention. They were built as a substitute for tents, but today they have become large graves.

The international community and everyone who wishes to send aid to the afflicted region must allocate a fair share of that aid to the forgotten region. Aid must enter by air and land into northwestern Syria as soon as possible. The opportunity is lost for those trapped under the rubble and for those who spent last night outside in the cold and snow.
