The post hyperfocus slump is real...Any tips for me to bring my self back?

I've had an amazing few days full of sunshine and good news, it's been long time coming! Now I feel like I want to just curl up into a blanket and hibernate, and feel like it's affecting my mood as well! Everything is just slightly too much and I don't have anything big to distract me, even my dopamine food isn't cutting it!

Any tips to keep me from losing the few marbles I have left?😅

Out of the two of us, Farah always uses night mode and Pooja can't stand it😂

Farah uses it to stop the blue light overwhelm, whereas Pooja can't deal with the colour tone changes!

How do you feel about it? Useful or not? What stops your eyes straining when we hit the inevitable doom scroll?

Anyone else? What do you do that helps you get to sleep?

Here we are, chatting away, then boom.... Deafening silence because what are words again? I used to just smash in a random word when I forgot the actual word I needed, but it got a little tricky when that word perpetually became "fish" 🫣😂 now I just say it... Either um.. what's the word? Or I make an over complicated and weirdly specific description of the word I'm looking for! Either way, we get there! Who else does this?! We'd love to hear your ways of dealing💜

Disassociating can be a really common occurrence with ADHD and autism. In the past I've been called dolly daydream, ditsy and even dumb for my "glitches". I find they happen when I'm overwhelmed or feeling particularly stressed out. Does this happen to you? How do you deal with it?

The thought of silence is scary! But there are times I wish it was a little quieter.

It’s been a long, stressful and busy week and the noise has been LOUD. I’m sorry we haven’t posted but we are trying to learn to prioritise our needs and not push through until burnout.

To the exhausted ADHDer seeing this - remember it’s ok to pause and enjoy the noise

Time blindness is the term for this phenomenon. It’s taken me until today to understand that is why I always seem so impatient.

Anyone else experience this?

Anyone else been doom scrolling bilateral beats recently? What’s helps you find your zen?

Even though there are often external factors that affect my ability to handle how I’m feeling, the emotion itself is at either 0% or 100%.

Is it just me or is it an ADHD thing?

Can anyone else relate to this?
I had no idea until I started researching ADHD traits.
Annoying as it is, I’m a little proud of myself too 😊

We're Farah and Pooja - Mums and the best of friends.
We’ve both recently been diagnosed with ADHD. (Even though we’ve known for a lot longer) Come join us whilst we process this the way we know and love, talking! (And a lot of giggles)
