Longing to hear the reality of the holiday season? This episode is for you.

This week we’re keeping it real and talking about how we’re really doing post-Thanksgiving and as we gear up for the end of the year rush. While it’s not always butterflies and rainbows, there are always things we can do to help ourselves, no matter what life is bringing us at the moment.

Meg talks about her newfound revelation of taking it one day at a time, while Maggi discusses the surprises that came with the repeated questions “How are you?” and “What’s new?” over Thanksgiving. We dive into the concept of a Winter Arc and how we can navigate expectations that come with the holiday season.

It’s easy to prioritize resting when it is tied to other people.

“I need to sleep well to be a good mom for my kids.”
“If I take care of myself I’ll show up better for others.”
“I’m too tired to play well later so I”ll take a nap now.”

What about sleeping well to be good to ourselves?

What about taking care of ourselves just for us?

What about taking a nap because we’re tired even when we don’t have somewhere to be?

We’re good at resting for others. Practice prioritizing rest just because it’s good for you.
